I’d stick Jacob’s in barkates spot, I’d let Barkate play the slot, and I’d run upshaw in his normal spot so he’s comfortable rotate wingo and spafford as well. And I’d use Lofton on all the motion plays that we use Mali to dig people out and block. I think you can create some real match up nightmares with lofton on their back up backer. I think the way the offense is built, you just stick barkate in Mali’s spot simply because he’s your stud now and he needs touches.
What else is crazy is I think this actually makes us a little less one dimensional if fucking Dawson doesn’t purposely make us one dimensional out of panic.

Can confirm this via a source. Was told Malachi Toney's ankle was inadvertently rolled up on by freshman DB Jaelen Waters at practice. One would think it would be the "tight rope" ankle surgery that is common and would hopefully get Mali back for the CFP #Canes
Toney is being further evaluated, with the hope that nothing is more serious than the ankle "tweak" that happened at practice. UM coaches told people that they do not believe it's serious/longterm, as we reported. ESPN reporting now that "Toney is expected to attempt to play in the game given its magnitude, and the injury is not expected to be a long-term setback." The Athletic said "he is expected to attempt to play" Saturday. Hopefully, further tests won't show anything more concerning.

I spoke with a source this afternoon to get further clarity on the Toney situation, and based on that conversation, there wasn’t a ton of optimism surrounding his availability despite reports.
It’s not my place to disclose the potential timetable, will leave that to Miami.

Sources tell @On3 that Malachi Toney rolled his ankle in practice today and is undergoing further testing. He's pushing to play Saturday at Notre Dame and has not been ruled out yet.

Has this many canes fans not noticed he’s been hurt for like over a month? Unless he hurt it way worse he’s been playing with a bad ankle for a hot minute. I thought this was known And he just like completely smoked it for good.
