No one can slow down Matias Maccelli right now as he gives the @NYIslanders a 1-0 lead with 12 seconds left in the first period
Maccelli has a five-game point streak and a goal in back-to-back games
Maccelli picked Shane Pinto’s pocket and unleashed a rocked by Linus Ullmark
53 seconds after Kyle Palmieri scored his first of the season, Matias Maccelli records his first as an Islander
Maccelli has a point in each of his last four games. Schaefer has an assist in three straight games
2-0 Isles as we enter the second period
The Islanders didn’t hold line rushes during their optional morning skate so we didn’t see the updated D pairs until warmups
There’s a small wrinkle to their lineup as Matt Kessel is in for Scott Mayfield. Kessel is set to make his Islanders debut and play in his 100th NHL game
