No reason to be concerned about Texas right now, still think they’re safely in the CFP as a No. 22 or 23 seed.

Column: With the 24-team playoff, college sports power brokers are closer than ever to the final breaking point of their social contract with the fans. They're reducing a cherished heirloom to pawn shop merch, and they don't care how many people hate it. bit.ly/3VTORGD
Florida just upset Texas at Texas!!! I'm going to enjoy it because next year it won't have nearly the impact of both teams. Thanks for killing the best regular season in America sports morons running college football.

I wrote this four years ago and it still applies. The people who run college football conferences don’t get the regular season *is* the sport and rivalries are more important than the tv markets. The playoffs should be additive to that, not replacing that. Sad.

The Pop Tart Bowl had better TV ratings than multiple playoff games in a *12 team playoff* earlier this year. So America has spoken on this issue. Pop Tarts.

Blowing up the regular season, against the wishes of almost all fans, just to assuage the egos of a handful of donors placate coaches worried about losing their 8-million-dollar jobs. What a waste.

Sacrificed the best regular season in sports so that 8-4 Big Ten teams can lose by 13. Awesome stuff.

People spent 16 years begging for the BCS to get bigger. They resisted.
People spent a decade begging for the CFP to expand beyond 4. They resisted.
For the first time ever, people are saying "We like it at the size it is, really."
They blew it up within 3 years.

Great stuff here. Hawks & Hawkeyes two different teams
🤡 Eric Schmitt beclowns himself during Jack Smith hearing 🤡
Schmitt concocted an elaborate conspiracy theory that Smith traveled to Atlanta to go to a Hawks game and collude with Fani Willis, and briefly displayed his "evidence" on a poster board before accusing Smith of perjury. There's just one problem -- Schmitt's facts were totally wrong. Smith was actually in Maryland at a Hawkeyes (not a Hawks) game and never met Willis. As Klobuchar told him, "You have your teams wrong."
Here's the whole deeply embarrassing sequence:

hi i'm Graydon Gray IV, head of marketing at Gray Uniforms Inc.
Here's why I think your team could use some Gray Uniforms:
—gets away from your team's iconic colors
—looks bad
—easily confused with any other NFL team
—does not look good
—boring/forgettable
—looks like trash

Did the new superspeedway package fix Daytona? February's 500 was the slowest Daytona race of the Next Gen era, the field was 14 mph off the pace at its worst to save fuel. Saturday night, with the new package: 2.4 mph faster and above the era median benchmark of 190.5 mph.

A look at how the Bubble's gap to The Chase cutline has evolved over the last 5 races.
Note that I place the 16th place driver at ±0 and every other driver relative to him instead of the traditional NASCAR convention (to me, this feels more intuitive).
