Someone sent this: “Royal hospital a&e last week. My mate just sent me this”. They really divide opinions posts like this. Some people are angered by it and call it a takeover. Others defend it and say that it freedom of expression and the right to practice religion. I think both make very good points. But my take on it is that this performative stuff can sometimes be done to antagonise people in some cases. It worries people who already feel like they are watching their homeland and culture slip away before their eyes. This kind of thing doesn’t do the wider Muslim community any favours because they already have enough heat on them as it is. Stuff like this only turns public opinion against them even further. That’s just how I see it but of course many will disagree which is fine.
