We did hear back from one candidate for the Norfolk County DA position (Michael Morrissey is not seeking re-election), Craig MacLellan, who puts Unconstitutional law above the Constitution. The Constitution does not bend. In Scott LaPanne’s case, it did not—330 years of unlawful charges—Gone!
We are a nation of laws, not of men. This a huge victory for the law, a targeted man, and his family, who lost almost 900 days of normal life while Lapanne was subjected to what appears to be a totally unwarranted house arrest.
The punishment was imposed, with no crime committed, and no conviction obtained, following a multi-agency investigation.
Consider the expense involved in this unlawful arrest, seizure of property and the damages the LaPanne family will receive in the wake of this gross government overreach.
Now that it’s been established that several of his fundamental rights were violated, may the law also enable him to obtain swift Justice and a HUGE damages for the harm he and his family suffered.
