Nyt on kyllä pakko kirjoittaa vähän pidempi kritiikki tästä yksilöä vastuuttavasta ajattelusta. Siinä, että on vaikea säästää, laihduttaa tai nukkua on nimittäin suurelta osin kyse sellaisesta psykologisesta tekijästä kuin itsesäätely. Se vaihtelee paljon yksilöiden välillä. 1/
Säästäminen on hyvä.
- Mutku ei kaikki voi.
Pienikin laihduttaminen parantaa elämänlaatua.
- Mutku ei kaikki kykene muuttumaan.
Hyötyliikunta on järkevää.
- Mutku ei kaikki voi liikkua.
Riittävä uni on oleellinen asia.
