The future is now.
The Russian military released footage from a massive Ukrainian attack carried out exclusively with unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) in the Lyman sector on October 28, 2026.
According to the Russians, at least 28 Ukrainian ground drones participated in this assault. Among them, 18 UGVs equipped with double AT4 84mm launchers and 2 equipped with Mk 19 40mm automatic grenade launchers, as well as 8 kamikaze/explosive-laden UGVs.
In the last few months, we've already seen cases of Ukrainian forces conducting all-UGV attacks on Russian positions, but this one appears to be the largest to date. It is also a sign of things to come with the ongoing, advancing robotization of the battlefield.

Russian mobile fire group training goes wrong while using a YakB-12.7 rotary machine gun developed for a Mi-24 helicopter mount
This is what happens when an aircraft rotary gun with brutal angular recoil is treated like a regular ground weapon.
They ignored that fact, slapped it onto a ground setup for a mobile fire group, and assumed it would work like a regular stationary machine gun.
