Wikipedia, which went online in January, 2001, is now the greatest compendium of human knowledge ever assembled. Yet in the last four years, it has lost 25 per cent of its traffic—more than a billion monthly visitors. Since the site recruits its editors from its audience, this dip also threatens its growth and quality. Many users have been intercepted by A.I. “It’s a cruelly ironic fate,” Julian Lucas writes. Wikipedia was the single most important training corpus in the history of artificial intelligence. Now artificial intelligence is threatening its survival. Mental health care should not be secondary to physical health care.
Yet every province received an F for equal access to mental health care.

BOB COSTAS: “God himself helps those who dare" is a phrase we've all pondered over when reading Ovid's Metamorphoses. Today, eight Major League Baseball teams will dare to be great like Daedalus and Icarus did eons ago above Crete.

Sen. @amyklobuchar: We have confirmed that you were right, Mr. Smith. The Iowa Hawkeyes played Maryland on February 3, 2024. The final score was 93-85. Iowa won and Caitlin Clark scored 30 points, so it must've been a pretty good game. The game was, in fact, in Maryland. For a US senator to have false information and imply that you were in another city and then call you a 'dirtbag' is something that deserves an apology.

Barack Obama at his last press briefing with reporters, 2017:
"I have enjoyed working with all of you. That does not, of course, mean that I've enjoyed every story that you have filed, but that's the point of this relationship. You're not supposed to be sycophants. You're supposed to be skeptics. You're supposed to ask me tough questions. You're not supposed to be complimentary, but you're supposed to cast a critical eye on folks who hold enormous power."

Crazy idea - let's try having available treatment before we jump right to involuntary?
Premier Doug Ford says there’s a capacity issue in addiction care in Ontario - but says the province feels a “moral obligation” to help the issue.
The possible route - involuntary treatment - stands to be controversial.
Ford promises the province will consult with municipalities before deciding on the issue.

The amount of "people" in the replies calling Gary woke for this truly shows how meaningless that word has become. He literally just said he'd enjoy working in politics....didn't even mention a party or any affiliations or beliefs and conservatives are sobbing about it lmao

Doug Ford on the Democrats: "Their party's being split. They've gone socialist, communists on one side. And, you know, regular Democrats, hardworking, smart, pragmatic Democrats are being under attack by their own party right now. That's actually pretty scary. Having socialist and communists running for the Democratic Party."

Let’s start with human rights and see where things go from there.
As AIs become part of everyday life, the pressure to give them rights will mount. But this might help bring about the most disastrous consequences for everyone on Earth and all their descendants bit.ly/4qqIfLd
