Watching the children grow and develop rejuvenates Peter’s spirit, making him feel young at heart. He has also developed wonderful friendships with the parents, which make him feel more socially connected. He says, “I tell everyone about how much I love Songs & Smiles.”

As limited mobility restricts his outings, the programme has become a lifeline that nurtures his sense of belonging and community engagement. During a recent hospital stay, it was the companionship of Songs & Smiles that Peter missed the most.
