Profiled Arn Tellem, the super agent now running the Pistons. This anecdote about his one-time client Joel Embiid staying at his house while rehabbing a foot injury rookie year, OMG. Tellem and his wife come home after dinner only to find Embiid in their master bedroom. (1/3)
“...to the music. I go, ‘Joel. It’s like 11 o’clock. [My wife] has to pack for a trip early tomorrow. Can you get out and get back to your bedroom?”He’s nodding his head, although it took him a half-hour. My wife’s ready to kill me. But Joel’s like a son.”

John Walsh👏
I’ve always loved Charley, and he arrived @espn a TV virgin (loosely described)but immediately made the kind of impact that made those of us that doubted John Walsh a print guy that started to run @SportsCenter in 1988 look really good! Charley above all else loved what he did brought old school radio pipes to the set and he became a cable/culture icon. We often discussed our dreams of PXP together. It was hard hearing all he’s been thru, but man couldn’t be happier for him now! Keep on delivering the goods Charley. 🎙️🎧⚾️💜

One man (LeBron) can hold up an @NBA schedule. It takes a village to fix it. My story @SBJ: sportsbusinessjournal.com/Ar…
From my @SBJ piece on the W: "In '25, the Valkyries led the W in avg. tickets sold at 17,000+, while the Dream were 2nd lowest at 3,300. The Valkyries also led league in avg gate receipts with $1.5M, while the Dream were dead last at $222k. Now, here they are in '26 Finals.

The Dream’s 3,500-seat arena could limit the WNBA league office’s Finals revenue.
Teams contribute 20% of net Finals gate receipts to the league, capped at $500,000. Golden State’s 18,064-seat Chase Center offers a much greater chance of reaching that mark.
