Volunteered with friends & colleagues last week at Lehigh CC as they hosted the @JeffLVClassic. Great to see so many @PoconoTurfgrass members helping the entire week.
Congratulations John, Jim, Dan, Gavin, Derek and your awesome Agronomy team, the golf course was incredible!
Just gave two new guys a string trimming demo around a tree and two stumps…..it took me back a few years 🤣 Still go it! Almost every superintendent loves giving the quick story of “back in my day…” followed by a flawless trimming performance
Special day hosting the @FoldsofHonor golf tournament, and playing! Feel-good event raising scholarship money and awesome time catching up with Tony! Well-done to our Dir. of Golf Chad for his outstanding work in his 11th year organizing it

Inject it into my veins.
Great story @WNEP did on our @TheFirstGreen Field Trip @FrostyGolfPA on Tuesday.

One of my favorite days of the year, hosting a @TheFirstGreen field trip!
Had the pleasure of hosting our 3rd @TheFirstGreen field trip yesterday with 170, 5th-graders from Danville. Thx @PoconoTurfgrass for volunteering time & $ support, our amazing grounds crew for supporting logistics, local businesses for donations and @gcsaa for an amazing program
A memorable week uncovering @FrostyGolfPA first days of existence going from a farm to a golf course! Incredible being able to learn about your clubs beginning in real time viewing these long forgotten projector slides!
Frosty Valley history revealed! Thanks to the family of former superintendent Carl Swartzlander, we were given some original pictures of Frosty Valley CC being constructed by architects William and David Gordon. We look forward to sharing more with our members soon!

Great 3-days at the PSU Golf Turf Conference! Excited to be back at the Nittany Lion Inn with excellent speakers & talks! Great job @iTweetTurf and @PSUTurf for reestablishing a quality event! Catching up with many colleagues & meeting new ones was very rewarding

Finally made it to my first @GCSAA Chapter Delegates meeting representing @PoconoTurfgrass Mechanical issues on the way out led to unfortunately missing day 1, so of course held our own meeting w/ Kevin (Ontario) and Greg (Maine) at the nearest rest area! Learned a lot on Day 2
How in the world do I have a teenager already?! This week through all my disbelief, JP has turned into a young man. 🥹 Proud of him in so many ways. Hard to believe. #teenager
Thanks to the team of @Dan51926654 Jon, Charlie and Carson 20 greens aerified, shoveled, blowed, 65 tons of topdressing sand, and rolled Monday-Wed. Turned around and cleaned up 19 acres of fairways Thur & Fri. And fit in a sand pro demo on all bunkers
Unbelievable effort!!
The best-known way a superintendent can cause it to rain at their course is to start a project they don’t want rain while completing. Therefore, I have started to install our shock pad for artificial turf matting at our driving range. Your move Mother Nature….

Tried something new/fun this morning with @Dan51926654 in preparation for the @FoldsofHonor tournament. Not bad for our first run at a big one!

Just a month and a half ago I was rooting hard for @McIlroyRory at Augusta, now I’m showing my kids his interview, him smashing a tee & what @Wyndham_Clark did to Oakmont’s locker room & showing them how not to act. I understand the pressures of sport but be better.

Super proud of @ciccarelli_luke! Not only has he worked to become a valuable asset at Oakmont CC, but challenged himself years ago to do something big in the Turf grass industry and is living it out this week.
Great time visiting him and seeing him in action! Oakmont is pristine
