Reformed Baptists did not begin as Baptists who became Calvinistic. They emerged from the same Reformed theological tradition as the Puritans and Presbyterians, distinguished by their convictions on baptism and the new covenant.

Brother, 1) It's not "the Baptist reading." It's the "Chrysostom, Poole, Ames, Melanchton, Vitringa, Musculus, Calovius, Piscator, etc" (all paedobaptist) reading. It's the standard Lutheran reading.
