"I think they want an agreement to end the conflict between the US and Iran, though they're probably pretty far away on how to get there."
@fpleitgenCNN talks to @TomWJones @Poynter about the war in Iran
In the opening days of the war, as missiles lit up the sky and the outside world scrambled for information, CNN’s Frederik Pleitgen made his way into Iran.
On this episode of “The Poynter Report Podcast,” Pleitgen walks through those first moments: what it felt like to enter Iran, how reporting works when access is tightly controlled and the lasting impacts of reporting on war.

What was it like to cover the war in Iran from inside the country? I talk with @CNN's @fpleitgenCNN -- the first Western journalist inside Iran after the attacks -- in the latest episode of The @Poynter Report Podcast:

How close was that 4th down play to being a catch? Still waiting on a decent replay from @CBSSports #AFCChampionshipGame
These games are fun when you don't have a rooting interesting in them. If you do, they're downright miserable. #AFCChampionshipGame
Tennis can tell if a ball is 1/00000th of an inch in or out, but the NFL is still relying on two guys 20 yards away looking through a mass of players to see if the football made a first down. #AFCChampionship
Great line from Brady: "I never remembered the championship games when I lost the Super Bowl." #nflchampionship
Am I the only one who thinks the officiating has been kinda spotty in this Philly-Washington game? #nflchampionship

Republicans, including JD Vance, said over and over again that Donald Trump would not pardon people who assaulted cops. But he’s done just that tonight. Hundreds of them.
