It appears Eden Prairie City Council and School Board are embracing the idea that gang fights and gunfire are the new accepted norm in Eden Prairie. No flex to the demands & desires of EP parents. NO scheduled public comment period. The meeting is still open to the public, so show up to make your presence felt. Not really poor leadership, just NO leadership. Hide behind beaucratic bologna and hope parents forget the fear, anger and sadness of October2. Tonight EP “Leaders”will focus on administration instead of student safety and parents questions.

I sent a message to the Board requesting public comment at tonight’s meeting. We need to express our concerns now, not in two weeks, especially since the shooter has already been released.

The Eden Prairie School Board response to OUR Aerie being attacked 10 days ago with gang fights & gunshots , leaving us concerned for the immediate safety of our kids and the future of our city is: ,”we have two Board meetings remaining this month. The first is our Board workshop, which will take place immediately following our joint meeting with the Eden Prairie City Council on Monday, October 12th. The second is our regular business meeting on Monday, October 26th. Public comment is scheduled as part of our October 26th meeting, but not for the October 12th Board workshop. We welcome you and other community members to participate in public comment at the October 26th business meeting.” Are our kids safe at school today? Are Somali Gang fights , gunshots, Aerie evacuations the new normal for Homecoming? Wait 14 more days, then you can ask us. Let EP School & City leaders know this is unacceptable.

Is anyone else getting sick of hearing, “We know these kids, we know who they are, we talk to them every day.” Then, arrest them, get them off the streets before they shoot up a football game, WATCH NOW: Ramsey County sheriff to outline Somali gang task force plan youtube.com/live/nxsImnGCNe4… via @YouTube

Minnesota media @KSTP , this is not reporting, this is BS. Hassanen, no one cares if a bullet is shot by a Somali gang member, a Somali kid, a Somali in a "Non-Associated Group," a white kid, a black kid, a green kid; we care about who the bullet hits and why are bullets flying around a high school football game, a gas station, a neighborhood in the first place. The fact is, those bullets are being fired by Somali's all over the southwest suburbs right now. You state a "conversation about gun violence among its young people" -- the conversation needs to be you are arrested if you committed gun violence. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ On Monday, Hassanen Mohamed, executive director of the Minnesota Somali Community Center, told KSTP that while the wider right-wing attack on Minnesota Somalis is wrong, the community needs to have a conversation about gun violence among its young people. He also questioned the characterization from police of the recent shootings in Eden Prairie and Edina as “gang violence,” saying: “Are they really a gang or an associated group? Because they are not fighting over turf. They don’t have a structured hierarchy. There’s no structure whatsoever.” +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ @FBI @FBI_Response @FBIMinneapolis @DMNnews @ -- you are needed now in Minneapolis Southwest suburbs

Shooting at Eden Prairie High School Homecoming Football @FootballEPHS game: Zero arrests? Zero info? Zero updates? We don't need more tax funded "community outreach" programs & fraud, we need: 1. Parents to parent 2. Police / law enforcement to arrest those involved 3. Legal system to hold criminals accountable Why did Somali gang violence occur at an Eden Prairie High School Football @FootballEPHS , probably because Somali gang activity is active in Eden Prairie High School --- Somali parents, EP teachers, EP principals @EPPrincipal , EP Mayor , @EdenPrairiePD , @EPLocalNews step up and say something Solutions: Accountability & Deterrence: - Caught with an illegal gun at a high school event: mandatory minimum 10-year prison time (if you are 14, 18 or 21, you are going to prison for 10 years) - Brandish, threaten with, use a gun: minimum 20-year prison time - If you do adult crimes, you are treated as an adult. Juveniles get out of prison card free must be removed. What can you do? Vote November 3rd – your MOST important vote to fix this problem is: County Attorney: Vote for Anders Folk @folkforhennepin

“That love of country and appreciation for our way of life, which was planted by my parents and family, really developed in me as a result of my experiences growing up with all of you. My upbringing, my friends, teammates and experiences growing up here in Eden Prairie, … my teachers and coaches, my friends’parents were all so influencial in my life. You all inspired me more than you know throughout my Navy career. Many times, during a mid-watch at 0330 standing Engineer Officer of the Watch or dodging fishing boats while driving the submarine at periscope depth around the South China Sea wondering why I was here, my mind would wander to a great memory from life at Eden Prairie High School. There were no better memories than an EP football game. Looking back at those nights, to me, that was the American Dream in a snapshot. The players on the field, the cheerleaders, the band, the dance team, the color guard, the students in the stands, all thinking this game or this performance or this date, all sharing an innocence of youth, is the most important thing in the world tonight. And regardless of the outcome the night, they wake up with optimism and belief that there own American Dream is out there for them to run down. If my submarine and our mission was contributing, in whatever small way, to ensuring others would be able to experience the same type of blessed upbringing I had growing up here and have similar fond memories; that was the motivation to get me through the watch.” A bit from a draft of a speech I gave in Eden Prairie for my retirement from the Navy. Following the shooting tonight at the Eden Prairie Homecoming game, I remembered this speech from 5 years ago and playing in an EP Homecoming game 30 years ago. It appears that “innocence of youth” is now over —- definitely over for my 3 nieces who were at the game. Is this progress? Is this Progressive success? Because the shooting tonight at Eden Prairie’s Homecoming game is a direct result of Progressive policies. For Eden Prairie, my hometown, 30 years of progress has turned a high school football game from a snapshot of the American Dream into a frenzied panic search for your kids after gun shots were fired, along with a 30% to 40% drop in Eden Prairie High School students ability to perform at their grade level in Math and Reading. This is not progress. And BREAKING NEWS: this is not because of METRO SURGE or COVID. This is a failure of Eden Prairie and Minnesota - a failure of the elected leaders, of our education system, of our legal system, of school boards, of city planners, of school principals, of parents, of teachers, of law enforcement, of students. So if we want to fix all this “progress,” look in the mirror , do something , and get off your ass to vote on November 3rd. Thank God tonight was not worse, prayers for full recoveries of those shot and all who were there. Godspeed to those who work to fix, improve and better our community … Go Eagles Go America, EP Eagle , Class of ‘96

No arrests? No names? Completely unacceptable. Here’s a start - the 2 individuals who got shot - were they in a gang in a fight with weapons?

. @JonJustice , @StarTribune out did themselves with the update “2 injured” - 2 injured during the evacuation? - 2 injured players, cause long medical felay, fans evacuated Are we talking sprained ankles, concussion protocols , nope 2 people got shot with guns at an EP FBall game. @StarTribune combines a special kind of stupid and bias to come up some amazing headlines,
Sure, “evacuated.” Damn worthless media. You’ve got people shot, Somali gangs involved, in Eden Prairie of all places, and the @StarTribune goes with basically, “people had to leave early” 🤦🏻‍♂️
