Seeing so many children on my socials doing tournaments, 1:1s, fitness sessions, over the past couple of days.
Go and be kids, have the week off, go and watch rubbish on TV, eat what you want, spend time with family.
They're children who are good at football, not 'footballers'.
Buzzing - what a kid. Great to be a small part of the journey 👏👏

All ready for the Under 8s/Under 9s tournament later.
Seven games, seven different rules, all picked at random...

Loads of new opportunities, alongside many goodbyes. Plenty of learning and development, and above all lots of fun!
Looking forward to the new year, going back into a sporting environment in a full-time capacity.

When Mark Bonner was 10, he did a school project on what he wanted to be when he was older. “I want to be Cambridge United manager,” Bonner wrote. He achieved that dream, bringing promotion to League One, a famous FA Cup win over a strong Newcastle United side at St James’ Park - Cambridge were even first on Match of the Day - and the “great escape” of last season.
Bonner also earned huge respect for what he did in lockdown. He delivered food parcels and made hundreds of calls to fans to check they were OK. He helped reconnect club with their fans. He cared.
Now, Bonner's been sacked. Results were poor, a solitary League One win since Sep 4, slipping to 18th. But he’s a good manager, and will be high on short-lists when other clubs seek a charismatic, empathetic new manager. If and when he returns to the Abbey Stadium one day, he will get a great reception. Mark Bonner will always be a legend there. Good luck to Mark for the future. #CUFC #CamUTD

And that's a wrap...
A remarkable club that has completely transformed my life, and supported me on an amazing journey over the past 13 years.
Thank you for everything @CityYouthFC

Sometimes in life you have special people cross your path. I am so humbled to have this group of children, parents and coaches who have crossed mine. We never know when we are beaten and we are stronger together. Today is my proudest moment. – at Tyttenhanger, East
My final session after seven years with these lot, they haven't grown at all 🤦♂️🤯
Been a pleasure to see them develop into top players but more importantly a great bunch of lads with top values and an excellent team spirit.
One more session to go wearing @CityYouthFC colours...
What a season, what a team. Well done to Leyton and all involved for rebuilding the group to the point where they're playing at a top level again, a pleasure to be a small part of 👏👏
