Bought some bins to hold our apples and let them sweat before crushing and pressing them. We got roughly 90lbs from just the one tree!

Finally after 280 days and an infection scare (first cider to develop a pellicle but turned out great), the Gravenstien single varietal cider is bottled. We scaled way back on our adjustments as we wanted to see what thus variโฆ instagr.am/p/Cecl48ZLWe7/

Racked our ciders and meads to secondary and started a batch of Siren's Call (Black Cherry) Cider using the yeast slurry from Nomad. Not doing fruit this time, just using extra juice.

So... the frustration in my previous post may have been slightly misplaced. It seems as though my monitor may have actually been the culprit for crushing the blacks in the scans.
