I like LocalSend. I wanted it to tell me somebody was trying to send a file while I was in another app. That sent me down the rabbit hole of making an Android fork. The original app already did most of what I wanted. I had one thing I wanted to change. github.com/limmieo/localsendā€¦

A creator can have a huge subscriber count. I still want to know if anybodyā€™s watching what they post now. Thatā€™s what Iā€™ve been looking at with ChannelFit. Views, engagement, how often they post. The biggest number on the profile leaves a lot out. github.com/limmieo/channelfiā€¦

I wanted to hear what songs would sound like as Game Boy music. So Iā€™ve been working on Songboy. It figures out the notes and plays them back with those sounds. Between the JRPGs and this, apparently I want modern hardware to sound older. Repo artwork: github.com/limmieo/motif

If your problem is AI-generated images, say that. If your problem is how a model was trained, say that. ā€œAll AI sucksā€ tells me nothing about what youā€™re actually against. Be specific enough to have a conversation.

You can tell from how much I ramble that I use dictation a lot. So I ended up customizing my own setup. Now Iā€™m working on how it remembers words and lets me recover text. I wanted to talk to my computer. Apparently that became a project. github.com/limmieo/LimmiTalk

I kept opening the Rokid app just to check my glassesā€™ battery. So I made a notification that shows it instead. I get excited about the big AI announcements, but I also like being able to fix some tiny thing that annoys me.

7/8 I played Call of Duty all the time in high school. I was never a Madden guy, but if thatā€™s your thing, play it. Iā€™m not telling you to stop enjoying your games. But only playing those games and then saying thereā€™s NOTHING to play? Come on, man.

8/8 Especially on PC, we are eating good. Iā€™ve already named more than enough, and thatā€™s just stuff Iā€™m interested in. If youā€™ve tried different games and nothingā€™s clicking, tell me that. But if you wonā€™t even try anything else, I canā€™t take ā€œgaming is deadā€ seriously.
