Interesting that those behind the booking.com hack have started attempting to monetise. Just got a WhatsApp knowing my name, number, real hotel stay dates and reservation info asking for a verification form to be filled in. Many will fall for this.

This is all over my feed this morning. I’m loathe to repost but want to call it out. Appallingly racist. And not even funny.
“James Bond has retired, Your Majesty.” “Very well… who is our new 007?” “Sir, we’ve found someone who perfectly represents modern London.” 😂😂😂😂 This may be a joke but be under no illusions that this is not far away in real life and highly possible.

Molly vs The Machines is essential viewing for anyone with teenage children. A superb and shocking film - and for more on how Molly (and Ian Russell) became household names substack.com/@tonysmithtv/no…

So how can AI be used, not just because it’s cheap, but to genuinely add value? I’ve hit upon the idea of historical films - essentially using this tech to bring history to life.

I’m working with a local secondary school and our village museum on a project researching miners from Cornwall who died in the trenches of WW1. Here’s our first film.

He took six frames in all - two showed police, two were blank, one was out of focus. But one captured the unprecedented nature of the moment: for the first time in modern history, a senior royal was being treated as a common criminal.

The photographer who took this incredible picture will no doubt get very little credit so I just want you to know it’s by the very talented @philnoble1 Amazing snapper, great bloke 👌

Phil Noble of Reuters (@philnoble1) took the incredible shot that's currently ricocheting all over the internet and the world's media. Let's make sure his name is out there and he's getting the credit he deserves. xitter.cf/malonebarry/status/202…

I love AI video - in the right place. But this WILL NOT put ad agencies out of business. No-one is going to buy a shampoo that has had to fake its ad with non real super shiny bouncy hair. It would destroy a brand and go against all credibility of said shampoo. Surely?
