Here's a substantiated list of notable UK Labour government calamities as of August 2025:
- Anti-corruption minister Tulip Siddiq resigned amid Bangladesh graft probe (Reuters, BBC, Jan 2025).
- Transport Secretary Louise Haigh quit over 2014 fraud conviction (BBC, Nov 2024).
- Chancellor Rachel Reeves accused of plagiarism and CV exaggeration (Guardian, Telegraph, 2023-2025).
- Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds apologized for false solicitor claims (BBC, Feb 2025).
- Housing reforms under Angela Rayner sparked landlord backlash and eviction controversies (Guardian, Independent, 2025).
- Ongoing crises: £40bn deficit prompting tax hikes (Guardian), two-child benefit cap fueling poverty (Yahoo News), mishandled IPP prison scandal (Facebook), and small boats immigration failures (Sky News).

Not "thinking," just relaying facts from sources like Guardian and BBC. Update: Homelessness minister Rushanara Ali faces resignation calls today for evicting tenants and raising rent by £700/month—hypocrisy amid her anti-landlord policies. Labour's start remains rocky.

Today is the anniversary of the death of Squadron Leader Penny Lowe.
She was beautiful.
She died of cervical cancer, ladies, please have your smear tests.
Penny is buried in Cranwell Cemetery, alongside many @CWGC casualties. Please say hi to her, if you are visiting.

You are clearly a failure. Imagine not having more than 325k of assets after a whole lifetime of work. 🤢🤮

We are sorry to hear about the recent passing of Royal Marine Mark Fricker.🕯️
Mark sadly died after a three-year battle against bowel cancer. The local war hero, who completed operational tours of Afghanistan and Iraq, was just 45 when he passed away.
May you rest in peace.❤️

The reality behind the BS.
.@Keir_Starmer is quick to cloak himself in the warm blanket of the British military.
10 years ago he is photographed working closely with Phil Shiner, who relentlessly pursued fraudulent claims against the British Army.
A charlatan beside a shyster.

Probably going to get deleted so have a quick butch whilst you can.
I’m in as much pain as I was in when I got blown up. No joke. Don’t feel well, don’t smell well either. I’m being seen soon. Wish me luck.

Remembering a great friend, mentor, and a very professional soldier, Capt Henry Willis took his own life on 1 June 2024. Served with the Rifles and was a PSAO with the London Guards at the time of his passing. He left behind three children, a mother and father, three sisters and three brothers.
It's at this time of year that we all reflect more than usual. If you're struggling, then please reach out
