The South East is taking a major step towards strengthening its energy infrastructure and accelerating industrial growth.
The South East Development Commission (SEDC), through the South East Investment Company (SEIC), in partnership with Gas Sync and NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NNPC NGML), invites the public to the launch of the South East Gas Distribution Pipeline Infrastructure Project.
The proposed 400km pipeline network will connect the ANOH Gas Processing Plant in Imo State to major industrial and commercial centres across the five South East states, supporting energy access, investment and regional economic growth.

Pope Leo XIV has said his doctors have found “a localized nodule” in his lung and will operate in a few days.
Speaking at the Angelus on Sunday, he said the nodule was “detected at a very early stage and is well localized.”
The Pope added that his doctors recommend surgery and that he will follow their advice, with the surgery scheduled for the coming days.
Pope Leo thanked everyone for their spiritual closeness and entrusted himself to our prayers.
“Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, doctors found a localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well localized. The doctors believe surgery is appropriate. Following their advice, I have therefore decided to undergo an operation to remove it. The operation is already scheduled for the coming days. Vatar, the company behind the viral browser game @LagosLifeApp has closed a $500,000 pre-seed round.
@theflutterwave CEO Olugbenga Agboola invested in the startup through his fund, Resilience17, while Oo Nwoye, @terraindustries and Mono CEOs Nathan Nwachuku and Abdulhamid Hassan also participated in the round, which closed in a day.

Catholic teaching on homosexuality is simpler than the internet makes it. Two different things: the attraction, and the sex.
The attraction is not a sin. You don’t choose it. Feeling it doesn’t make you guilty. The Church still calls the inclination “objectively disordered,” which just means it points away from what sex is for. That is not a verdict on the person’s worth.
Sex between two men or two women is what the Church says is wrong. Same reason it gives for any sex outside a marriage between a man and a woman: sex is meant to unite a husband and wife and be open to new life. Same-sex acts can’t do that. Catechism 2357–2359.
So the rule is chastity. Same rule a single straight person gets. Friendship is fine. A sexual relationship is not.
The other half gets ignored. Those same paragraphs say people with same-sex attraction must be treated with respect, compassion, and sensitivity, and that unjust discrimination is to be avoided. Cruelty is not the teaching. Neither is saying the acts are fine.
