As a coach, be a bold leader. Have the courage to make tough decisions under pressure, and have the humility to accept all blame. Never be scared of the criticism that comes with being a coach. Accept it as part of your job.

As a coach, you can’t make all your players happy all the time. You need the courage to do what’s best for the team, even if it upsets some of your players. Focus more on what your players need, not what they want. Be a leader, not a people-pleaser.

Don’t just be confident in your skills. Be confident in your mental toughness as well. Believe in your ability to focus, manage anxiety, and persevere through adversity.

Goals tell you where to go. Discipline gets you there.

Great teammates give each other lots of fist bumps and high fives whether they are winning or losing. These small acts can make a big difference in a team’s confidence and chemistry.

Mentally tough athletes make no excuses. No matter what adversity they’re faced with, they find a way to overcome it and get the job done.

If you have a bad attitude in practice, you’ll most likely have an even worse attitude in games, where there’s much more pressure/stress. Improving your mental game starts with improving your attitude in practice.

No one cares what you did last year, or even last game. You must re-earn respect every single day!

Sleep is one of the most important keys to peak performance. As an athlete, you need to prioritize your sleep. The better you sleep, the better you’ll perform!
