The boys are good. Real good. But good doesn’t win you a best-of-five series. Winning does.

The Motor City Machine Guns got their win, and last Saturday, we got ours. Was it pretty? No. Was it clean? Depends on who you ask. But the referee counted to three, and that’s the only number that matters when you’re in this business.
Just remember, you’ve gotta do it two more times.
And we only gotta beat you three.

Everybody wants to talk about the fact that we lost and started this sucker off on the wrong foot. Good. So do I.
Because I can sit here and tell you we had that match won. I can tell you about the near-falls, the mistakes, the split-second decisions that changed everything.
Hell, I can tell you we hit a hell of a piledriver that would’ve put a whole lotta teams away.
But the Motor City Machine Guns kicked out, and then they beat us. That’s the truth. And I’m not gonna stand here and piss on anybody’s leg and tell ‘em it’s raining.
You got one.
A TLC match. Three teams. No excuses. Let the Bucks talk. Let Cope and Christian talk. Dax and I? We’ll see everybody at #AEWAllOut. And when it’s over, they can argue about who deserved it but we’ll be the ones holdin’ the titles, finally four-time champs.
Wembley remembered us and we reminded ‘em exactly why.

Instead, it became about who was standin’ in that ring when the dust settled.
We spent months away. and then walked back in with one thing on our minds: remind everybody that we’re still here.

Y’know what the worst part is? Everybody’s gonna talk about the ending.
The spikes. The Sharpshooter. The Crossface.
Everybody’s gonna have some cute little opinion about whether it was fair, whether it was too far, whether the old men pulled one last miracle outta their ass.
But me? I gotta wake up every morning knowin’ we lost.
Not because they were better or they outclassed us. Hell no. We lost because for one second we let ourselves get dragged into their world instead of keepin’ the fight in ours. See, people love romanticizing those two.
Childhood heroes. Makes everybody feel warm and fuzzy inside.
But we’ve spent years carryin’ and making these titles matter when half the world forgot tag wrestling even existed.
And at #AEWDoN… we got beat.
I’m man enough to say it.
But don’t confuse losin’ with finished.
