A lot depends (to mimic a phrase) on when the results of the early voters are released. If they are released immediately after the polls close they will have to be considered ( which you in self defense are trying to avoid) along with the news from the exit interviews.

I'd be so careful with the early exits this year in fact that if I somehow had the option to guarantee that I would never learn about them, I'd think that would improve my election night analysis. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to avoid finding out what they say.
Stunned to see Janet Malcolm listed so low on the front page of NYRB. Her piece knocks herself and her colleagues -- NYRB is lucky to have her and should be more proud of it.
