Not very active on Twitter, X? These days. Wanted to share this though.
Working on a new weekly series of stories at the Journal with @jakemayphoto titled “We Are Flint.”
Here’s my favorite so far:

(2/2) through their personalities and ideas while staying true to its history and vibrant culture. This weekly series of stories will show that Flint is more than a place. Flint is its people. We are Flint.
A good one to read after Smith’s story - Ingram and Smith are best friends. They uplifted each other through adolescence, into their careers and are still working together, pouring into the Flint youth what was poured into them.

The Vocational Independence Program has helped individuals with disabilities in the Flint area build personal skills and find job prospects since 1954.
@TorrezDevin and I met with program directors and a former client to learn more. For @flintjournal:

One of my favorite stories I’ve worked on in Flint so far – Hockey for many reasons, but especially cost of equipment and ice time, is a sport that lacks access. For many kids in the Flint-area hockey has never been an option. Here’s how that’s changing:

It shouldn’t be a battle to send journalists to cover what’s happening at a public university. Thoughts as editor-in-chief of @thesnews here: statenews.com/article/2023/0…

Said goodbye to this wonderful place today.
Over the last four years this place has become home and the snewsers have become family.
Thank you to everyone who makes snews what it is. It’s so much more than a job.
Hopefully I left it a little better than I found it. 💚🤍
so grateful to have shared a newsroom with these amazing people. it’s been an absolute pleasure, snews
We can’t wait to walk across the stage next week, proudly wearing our State News stoles. We can’t wait to see the finale of our college careers as student journalists. We can’t wait to think about SNews and smile at the memories we’ve formed. statenews.com/article/2023/0…
