All week, we have been conducting research and debating their bills in Committees in the House of Representatives. Today, the bills that survived committee were debated on the floor. We passed one bill, which will be sent to the Senate on Monday!

A Computer Called Katherine won Barnwell’s 2021 March Madness Tournament of Books! This year I decided to choose 16 books all about women for our bracket in honor of Women’s History Month in March. Best feeling was having the kids beg to check out all of them today! #fcsmeti

We have spent a lot of time talking about the value of art this year, so the next step was to create an art piece of our own! When students pass a lesson on iReady, they get to add to our collaborative iReady Mosaic. We set a personal record last week with 110 lessons passed!

We’re encouraging students to take charge of their learning about Black History Month. Each morning, students will research a different topic from Black History to share about during Morning Meeting! I can’t wait to see how much we learn together this month. @Townsend_Class
