1/ When Ethereum was proposed as a platform for DeFi and smart contracts, little was clear about how it would evolve. Since it has taken upon a form mirroring that of virtual machines, allowing for computational capabilities beyond any original confines of Ethereum's vision.
2/ These capabilities may bring and have already brought about functionality such as ZKPs, data-availability, and larger transaction throughput.
