The sum of life is more than safety & comfort. None of the disciples lived safe & comfortable lives. They lived their callings. I know we don’t want to think of that. Not when there’s so much flexing to do on social media. #DoSomethingStrange4SomeChange
We pass this “safe & comfortable” mindset down to our kids creating in essence the generational curse of status quo or the “American Dream.” But is the American Dream simply to be a consumer because many are dying slow deaths in jobs they hate every day but can afford nice things
We need to re-examine what we believe to be normal vs weird. Generations of people who have believed that they had to work a job to make ends meet without the benefit of pursuing a dream or calling is weird. #DoSomethingStrange4SomeChange
We consider it normal to tell dreamers to have a back up plan. We think we’re being loving and wise. But all we’re doing is encouraging the mindset to #DoSomethingStrange4SomeChange and planting doubt and delay into their minds.
Creative types & those who KNOW they can’t thrive in an office environment long term lock themselves into jobs in which they aren’t allowed to express any creativity or innovation and sit under fluorescent lights day in & day out. #DoSomethingStrange4SomeChange
If we saw a kangaroo trying to outpace a cheetah or a turtle trying to live in the desert, we’d think these things odd. We look at Wild life and everything does as it’s created when left alone. Yet as humans we don’t seem to get the memo. #DoSomethingStrange4SomeChange
