Section 219 would merge key parts of U.S. and Israeli weapons programs, making them nearly impossible to undo. It passed the House. Now it’s on the brink of passing the Senate. Only six Senators are fighting back. It’s not enough. The six Senators fighting back are Chris Van Hollen, Bernie Sanders, Jeff Merkley, Peter Welch, Ed Markey, and Elizabeth Warren. Track AIPAC is leading a coalition of people across the country that have sent 83,761 letters demanding their senators block this bill. Tell your senators to vote NO on Section 219. Send your letters now! trackaipac.link/Stop219

Israeli settlement expansion & settler violence are out of control. The last 3 years saw 50,000 West Bank Palestinians forced from their homes by Israeli military operations, demolitions & settler terror attacks. Now, dozens of lawmakers led by @JoaquinCastrotx are pushing back.

What a joke! AIPAC has been funneling money through “democracy engine” instead of doing direct donations and bundling. I introduced a bill that would require AIPAC to disclose their influence campaigns just as others do under FARA.
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), one of the most influential forces in U.S. politics, will no longer directly endorse candidates or donate to them from its federal political action committee, the group said. wapo.st/4yG3tqX

AIPAC is quietly funneling up to $9 million into Michigan’s U.S. Senate race to support Republican Mike Rogers against Democrat Dr. Abdul El-Sayed. The funding went to the pro-Rogers super PAC Great Lakes Conservatives Fund past an Oct. 14 deadline, avoiding pre-election disclosure. The super PAC subsequently made a $4.6 million media buy in Michigan. Recent ad spots from the super PAC target Dr. El-Sayed's Muslim background and allege ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, which El-Sayed dismissed as Islamophobic.

Netanyahu: Itamar Ben-Gvir will be a senior minister in any government we form. There is no question about that.

AIPAC is routing millions through other PACs to try and mask their involvement in the Michigan Senate race. GCLF announced a $4.7 million ad buy and it was leaked to the press that AIPAC funded it after the latest disclosure deadline. Pro-Israel donors are also propping up TFM, another passthrough PAC dumping millions into Michigan. Mike Rogers Israel lobby total is now at least $13 million.

After the midterms, the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC says it will stop candidate endorsements and contributions. AIPAC's defense of Israel despite its genocide, apartheid, and endless occupation has become too toxic. Candidates don't want its backing. trib.al/SNFUFfD

.@MahmoudKhalel is taking the fight for our rights to the Supreme Court. The Trump administration tried to silence him for speaking out against genocide. Now, Mahmoud is fighting for our free speech and to defend every immigrant who has been unjustly targeted by ICE.
Today, I asked the Supreme Court to affirm that federal courts have the power to hear my case. The government knows all too well that its baseless allegations and smears against me cannot survive the slightest scrutiny in federal court. That’s why it is doing everything it can to keep those courts from looking at my case and to channel it into its kangaroo immigration courts. So the question is simple: can the government weaponize immigration laws to punish someone's speech, then tell federal courts they have no power to step in? If the answer is yes, none of our speech is safe. If the Trump administration can punish someone for pro-Palestine speech, this or any future administration can punish anyone for any speech. Israeli forces unlawfully detained Brad Lander & dozens of American rabbis for harvesting olives in the West Bank. It's not illegal to harvest olives; Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people is. All detainees must be released immediately. We must end the genocide.
I’ve been released from IDF custody with a “warning,” apparently because of my public profile (I told them I wasn’t even a congressmember yet, just a nominee). But several dozen rabbis & participants harvesting olives with me are still in detention. For harvesting olives. They should all be released immediately. To be clear: Palestinians face far worse consequences every day. These detentions by the IDF are one more attempt to undermine Palestinians’ right to harvest their olive groves, travel on their roads, and live in their homes. Yet one more element of escalating, and very clearly state-sponsored ethnic cleansing. We’ll update on their status as soon as we hear.

This exchange is terrifying. But beyond blaming the 19-year-old demanding Abdul use his middle name every day, we should be asking what our media landscape has taught her. Somehow, Muhammad, one of the most common names in the world, has become something sinister in her eyes.
