This is leadership! Will Abdul condemn this ad? Absolutely not.
This type of fearmongering about Israel is wrong. It is not a winning strategy for any state. It does nothing to help Michigan Democrats win up and down the ballot in eight days. Do we need to lower costs by building more homes, securing people’s health care, and creating a fairer federal tax code? Yes, we do!! How we do so is not by blaming the high costs of our goods on the only Jewish homeland in the world. I want to see Democrats succeed at every level, and that means keeping our focus on lowering costs for Michigan families and reining in this out-of-control President.

“Siblani, who has supported El-Sayed for years, is an unapologetic supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah,” writes Ross. “Siblani’s brother Ghassan was a security chief for Lebanon’s Hezbollah-aligned Amal party in the 1980s. Siblani has called the terrorist groups ‘freedom fighters’ in numerous interviews over the years. At a rally in Dearborn last year, Siblani praised Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah as a ‘hero’ and urged that Israeli Jews be sent ‘back to Poland.’”

what was she supposed to say? "Yes I agree that the Jews are to blame for raising the price of bananas?"
BASH: “You're still fully behind Abdul El-Sayed?” STEVENS: “Look, I'm on the Democratic ticket. I can't say that I agree with everything that's gone on… I'm looking to be on the team to support my next governor Jocelyn Benson, and frankly these great Democrats who are working their tails off, who are going to make Hakeem Jeffries the first black Speaker of the House.” BASH: “You didn't mention Abdul El-Sayed in that last answer.” STEVENS: “Well, look, I would just say, you had asked me if I'm still on the team, I'm on the team.”

NEW: Abdul El-Sayed gets cozy with Hamas-loving editor who wants Jews sent "back to Poland." Osama Siblani urged El-Sayed to "soothe" his Arab supporters in Dearborn during a roundtable discussion at his offices last week, according to video. freebeacon.com/democrats/abd…

“The contents of this video are the ideology and rhetoric of Abdul.” “If you see anything else, I don't know where you've been.”
This is the weirdest part about some of the condemnation of this video. The contents of this video are the ideology and rhetoric of Abdul. Yes he is more calculated and artful with his word choices, but being an Oxford speaker doesn't mean what he says is different. It's the same when he says our schools are crumbling while we send aid to Israel. It's the same when he says we need to invest in infrastructure here instead of aid to Israel. It's the same when he says we need better healthcare instead of contributing to Israel. Both Cenk and Abdul are activists in a very old blood fued, with education and intelligence being the only daylight between them. If you see anything else, I don't know where you've been.

Roxie is awesome, the way that Abdul and campaign treated her before I resigned wasn't. So bad that we each tried to convince the other to not quit several times.

I don’t see a world in which El-Sayed disavows the antisemitic bananas ad. This has been the drumbeat of his campaign.

Dozens of countries receive billions of dollars in American foreign assistance every year. But that is only a fraction of what the United States spends supporting, protecting, and defending other nations. We have deployed hundreds of thousands of American troops around the world, spent trillions of dollars over decades, and tragically lost thousands of American lives defending allies and protecting shared strategic interests. We defend South Korea and Japan. We maintain security commitments to the Philippines and support Taiwan’s defense. We stand on the front lines of Central and Western Europe. We have American military forces stationed throughout the Middle East and have spent enormous sums protecting our Gulf allies. Kuwait directly requested American military intervention. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries have urged Washington to confront Iran militarily. We have troops in Africa fighting extremism and protect the free flow of shipping on the Eastern part of the continent. And the list goes on and on. So why is Israel constantly singled out by antiSemites? There is something deeply troubling about repeatedly portraying the Jewish state as taking American money while supposedly making Americans fight and die on its behalf. This narrative risks reinforcing centuries-old antisemitic accusations about Jewish money, influence, and control. And those accusations have real-world consequences for Jewish communities. And let’s not forget what America receives in return. Israel provides critical intelligence, advanced military technology, counterterrorism cooperation, regional deterrence, and strategic capabilities that directly benefit American national security. American foreign assistance is not simply charity. It is an instrument of American foreign policy designed to advance American interests, strengthen alliances, and protect American lives. That is true of our relationships around the world, and it is true of Israel. Which brings me to @cenkuygur and this carefully staged video with his Rebellion PAC Does Cenk really believe Americans are too stupid to see through this BS? Americans understand that we spend billions supporting and defending allies around the world, not just Israel. They understand that American presidents make American foreign policy decisions. And they can recognize when legitimate criticism of foreign aid crosses into dangerous antisemitic tropes about Jewish money, influence, and control. The irony is that Cenk may think this video will win votes for the candidate he supports. I suspect it will cost them a lot more votes than it gains. And using the Jewish state as a political punching bag while invoking narratives that have historically fueled antisemitism is something that deserves to be called out. We can debate foreign assistance, military spending, and the merits of any American alliance. But singling out Israel while ignoring the billions we give, the trillions we spend, and the military commitments we maintain to defend other nations is neither a complete nor a fair accounting of American foreign policy. Americans are a lot smarter than he gives them credit for.

Unless Abdul El-Sayed immediately demands that this campaign ad be taken down and unequivocally condemns it and its creators, he will be exposed as a vile, dangerous, and divisive antisemite. Any (of my fellow) Democrats who condemn the disgusting Ramaswamy ad in Ohio but do not condemn this deserve our unflinching contempt.

We ate at Red Lobster maybe once or twice when I was a kid. I don't remember the décor, but I can't believe it was over the top.
The coastal elites hate Americana. We know what they really think, and we know why they are so quickly defending Obama’s snobbery. They might think they are “too good” for the Cheesecake Factory, or find the decor to be tacky, but most regular Americans don’t

Abdul El-Sayed blames Israel for the price of your eggs and bananas, even though he knows that higher grocery prices are only due to supply, energy and inflation factors. Shame on anyone voting for a candidate who uses Antisemitic talking points to win an election.

🚨 Stanislaus State Lecturer Says Education Should Be Leftist Propaganda, Admitted to Flying Under the Radar to Take More Risks in the Classroom Melissa Charles, an Ethnic Studies lecturer at California State University, Stanislaus, openly discussed with fellow members of the far-left organization Community Movement Builders how she used her classroom to steer students toward her far-left worldview. Charles described how she hopes to catch college students at a formative stage in their lives and move them toward the Left, including encouraging aspiring district attorneys to consider becoming public defenders. But her most revealing admission concerned the purpose of education itself. "Education should be our version of propaganda." Charles framed education as a way to win students over to her side of what she described as a war. "I mean, we are at war, right? ... I think that's what all leftist spaces to some degree understand that we are in a battle, at least a battle. Maybe not everyone's like we at war, but like we're in some kind of struggle, some battle ... I know how to connect all of these things into a logical, compelling, relevant statement that will bring people to my side of this struggle, and that's, that's how I view education." She also acknowledged that her position as a lecturer allowed her to operate with less oversight and take greater risks in the classroom. "I get to like kind of fly under the radar, right?" "I'm less accountable, right? And I think therefore I can take more risk. And I do in my classroom." You can look at her official bio on @stan_state's website and practically predict this was the outcome. Charles openly describes herself as an educator-organizer who has worked with both anarchist and nationalist Pan-Afrikan movements and brings a "queer-socialist-feminism" perspective to her work. How is this still such a problem in higher education? You can absolutely teach students about the Black Panthers and other revolutionary movements without steering them toward contemporary organizations that claim their legacy.
