I'm Ira. i trade NQ.
Old me: good setup, then one dumb trade right when i was close to winning.
New me: fewer trades, stop set before entry, charts off after two losses.
Journaling daily to prove it works.
What's the worst trade you've taken while already winning?
A few years ago I started trading just watching people around me do it.
No one at the time took me seriously, not my friends, peers.
They said
"Women don't understand these things."
"Stick to a normal job."
"Focus on your studies instead of gambling."
Not long ago, I joined X and started seeing posts every week:
Jokes about how female partners don’t get the grind.
Memes about women not understanding charts or risk.
I sit here reading those tweets after trading NQ, quietly knowing how hard it was to stay in the game when nobody believed I belonged here.
I might not be at the peak of success yet. I don’t know exactly where I stand compared to everyone else flexing massive payouts.
But I do know one thing: I preserved. I stayed. I am still standing here.

Last 2 days I did nothing. Lazed around, barely touched X.
No excuses. It happens, and I’d rather admit it than pretend I’m a machine.
So from today, my plan is simple:
Show up every day
Post everything, good and bad
Keep getting better at trading

After blowing my accounts last week, I've been going through a lot mentally.
So I did what most traders do when they start losing faith in their edge.
I questioned EVERYTHING.
I'd been trading my strategy comfortably for a long time. I trusted the data, followed my filters, and stopped constantly looking for something better.
But the last 2 months?
Almost breakeven.
After all the backtesting, all the filters, and all the hard work to squeeze the best possible performance out of my strategy, seeing 2 months of virtually no progress was frustrating.
I started asking myself:
Is my edge gone?
Have market conditions changed?
Am I just refusing to accept that my strategy no longer works?
Then I went back to my old strategy and started backtesting it again.
Hours turned into hours.
I analysed the data, challenged my assumptions, and even used ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to help me examine the logic from different angles.
And here's where I landed:
**Two difficult months aren't enough to prove an edge is dead. But believing in an edge isn't enough to prove it's alive, either.**
My current data still supports the strategy's long-term potential. I haven't found a reason to abandon it just because the recent results have been frustrating.
So for now, I'm stepping back, sticking to my rules, and letting the data—not my emotions—guide my next decision.
No revenge trading. No switching strategies out of desperation. No forcing profits because I want to recover quickly.
The hardest part of trading isn't always finding an edge.
Sometimes, it's sitting through the period when the results make you question whether you ever had one.
Have you ever questioned a profitable strategy after a long stretch of breakeven trading?

Would you be willing to downgrade your lifestyle just to keep your dream alive?
I'm seriously considering doing that for trading.
On Thursday, I shared how I lost my Lucid funded account after 9 months of grinding just ONE WIN away from my first payout.
That post reached 30K impressions, got 330 likes, 90 comments, and brought almost 30 new followers.
But what happened in the comments meant more to me than the numbers ever could.
Complete strangers showed me support when I was at my lowest. ❤️
A special thank you to @aw_trades_ and @BeDomesticCozy for going as far as offering me an eval to help me get back on my feet.
I genuinely don't know how to repay that kindness.
Now, I want to be honest about what comes next.
I'm not going to rush my comeback just because I lost everything
My strategy has around a 60% win rate. Filtering trades can improve its performance, but sometimes that leaves me with just 1–2 setups a week.
Yes, it'll take longer.
But I'm not going to force trades just to get funded faster. I've already learned what happens when things go wrong.
Many of you told me to stop trading on my phone while working.
Ideally, I would.
But I'm the sole breadwinner in my family. I have medical bills to cover, and I can't afford to quit my job to sit in front of charts all day.
I work full time 10 hrs 6 days a week . Sometimes, trading has to fit around my job, not the other way around.
I'll work on improving my connection and execution process. I know the risks, and I don't want Thursday's mistake to happen again.
And here's something I haven't talked about much.
I barely save anything at the end of the month.
I'm even considering moving out of my spacious apartment into a tiny one just to save enough for one eval a month.
Think about that.
I'm not doing this because I want to look rich, drive expensive cars, or post screenshots of huge profits.
I want to build a better life for my family.
That's it.
To everyone who took the time to comment, encourage me, or offer a helping hand: **THANK YOU.** 🖤
I can't promise when the payout will come. I can't promise this journey will be easy.
But if that payout screenshot finally comes, you'll know what it took to get there.
Thursday was one of the lowest points in my trading journey.
I hope someday it becomes the moment everything started to change.
6 months to pass the eval.
3 months trading funded.
One win away from my first payout.
Today, I lost it all. 💔
I was at my full-time job in a shopping mall when my setup appeared. The network was terrible and my orders were getting rejected, so i try to open trade again and agian. Before I realised what was happening, 3 trades were open instead of 1.
My usual risk? $600.
My actual risk? $1,800.
I thought I could get out at breakeven when price comes back. I couldn't. Within minutes, my 50k flex @TradingLucid funded account was gone.
6 months of grinding. 3 months of protecting that account. Gone in minutes.
It hurts because I know I had come so far. But the market doesn't care how long you've worked for something.
Maybe it was an unfortunate accident. But there's a lesson here I can't ignore:
If you can't properly monitor your trades, you shouldn't be placing them
One weak signal. One execution mistake. One moment of misplaced confidence.
I'm not sharing this for sympathy. I'm sharing it because someone else might avoid making the same mistake.
The money hurts. The lost opportunity hurts even more.
But the biggest loss would be learning nothing from this.
Back to the drawing board. 🖤
NQ traders: your setup can be right and tech can still trip you up.
Laptop for charts. Phone as backup. But switching screens during a fast move can create its own mistakes.
What’s your plan if Wi-Fi drops: hotspot, phone, or sit out?

After years of grinding, battling my own tilt, and getting squeezed by evaluation rules, I finally secured my first payout from @MyFundedPerps . The dollar amount is small, but the proof of concept is massive. It is the ultimate proof that fixing your psychology and sitting on your hands actually pays off.
This is a genuine dream come true. Huge shoutout to my partner @TradeWithIra for the unwavering support.
Thanks to the @Ev_Trades for the account and motivation. The first one is always the hardest. Tomorrow, nothing changes. Back to the 1:1 RR and max 1 loss/day. Process > P&L.

You’re closer than you think. 📈
The results won’t show up overnight. Some days you’ll win, some days you’ll lose, and some days you’ll question everything.
But if your edge is real, stop changing the plan every time things get hard.
Stay disciplined. Trust your edge. Let the sample size do the talking.
Your breakthrough might be one disciplined month away.
Keep going. 🫡
Traders, are you trusting the process or fighting it?
Patience always pays off. 📊✨
Watched the key levels, executed the plan, and caught the full move in one clean shot. Discipline over emotion, every single time
Started trading because peers did, then gambled for quick cash. Eventually shifted focus to build real wealth and fund my future business.
Took a corporate job, came back full-time—and realized waiting for the "perfect fund" is a never-ending cycle.
