Friday nights on the Sunset Strip. Thousands of people on the street… CC & Lemmy hanging out by Gazzarri’s.

Couple people I know were at this show. Few years later I saw Fugazi play w/ Shellac and Ian Svenonius' (Nation of Ulysses) new band, the Make-Up.
Ian Mackaye introduced them saying, "it's Ian's world, we're just living in it."
Forgot that David Fincher directed a bunch of music videos before making films like The Game, Fight Club, The Social Network, etc.
Here's one I always enjoyed, Billy Idol's "Cradle of Love".

Vevo '80s channel brought this Paul Carrack video back to mind a couple years ago.
Prob hadn't seen it since the late '80s. Looks like a really well shot, high concept video for 1987. Almost like it could've come out in 1990-1991 (early 90210 era).

Directed by Peter Care, who also did videos for New Order, R.E.M., Belinda Carlisle, and Depeche Mode.
Can see the common thread in the look of New Order's video for Regret (1993)

In the words of Dewey Cox's Beatles: "Grrreat Rrrecord".
One of the best loved "garage rock" singles of all-time hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on this day in 1966.
