Great post & I agree, some of the best data is collected in forward testing. Simulate your forward testing with tools like @fx_replay Battles. imho, a great way to simulate forward testing with a touch of psychology stress-testing by the social aspect and the time-based battles.

nah but fr - @fx_replay, these Battles are pretty slick! Seamless interface! Lock in on your process I'm using this to stay focused and repeat my execution checklist under simulated pressure! One request: Can we see the asset being battled without having to click "Join" first?

Most traders don’t blow up because their strategy failed. They blow up because they couldn’t sit through a normal drawdown. Backtest enough to normalize pain. So it doesn’t shock you when it shows up live.
