There is nothing more fascinating than watching someone stubbornly defend a delusion simply because reality doesn't match their expectations.
Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, Rowan Atkinson shared a hilarious encounter at a Land Rover parts department where a stranger pulled him aside to inform him that he was the "spitting image" of Mr. Bean. When Atkinson gently explained that he was, in fact, the actor who plays the character, the stranger didn't believe him growing increasingly annoyed and convinced that Atkinson was just a delusional imposter going around impersonating him.
It’s a perfect reminder of how human psychology works. People don't judge situations by the facts in front of them, they judge them by the narrative already locked inside their heads. When reality contradicts a preconceived script, most people won't update their worldview they'll just assume reality is lying to them.
I see Hirst is taking pelters again probably the same people who were saying Bocat should never wear the shirt again after the Wolves game! Strikers need a run of games, not something he has had. The way some of our fans slaughter our own players just baffles me

“That was easily the hardest match I’ve ever had to deal with” 💔
An emotional victory for Jordan Brown, as close friend Mark Allen opens up about the possibility of retirement following their match.
Thought @Boro were excellent last night, moved the ball quickly, short passes between the lines we really struggled with. They should walk this league if they keep their squad fit, Brittain looks a great player! We are so much improved and look a proper team now. On to Derby now

FUCKING HELL ANDY, YOU ABSOLUTE VISIONARY!!
People are struggling to afford petrol, families are watching every penny, and filling your car up now requires a small mortgage and a letter of permission from your bank manager. But fear not, ladies and gentlemen, because Andy Burnham has come riding over the horizon like a financially responsible Batman. His master plan?! GOOGLE FUCKING MAPS !! That’s right. Not cheaper fuel. Not a reduction in fuel duty. Not anything that actually makes the bastard stuff more affordable. No. He’s proudly announcing that we can now look at a little map and see WHICH petrol station is going to financially bum us the gentlest. GROUNDBREAKING STUFF THIS !! And the best bit? Google Maps has been showing fuel prices in various places for YEARS. So he’s effectively stood up, puffed his chest out and announced the invention of something that’s already bloody existed. What’s next, Andy?! A revolutionary new device that tells us when it’s raining? A calculator to help us discover we’re fucking skint? Perhaps a mirror so we can watch ourselves ageing while waiting for politicians to do something useful? I don’t need a map to tell me petrol is expensive, Andy. I’ve got a fucking bank account!
At this rate, next week’s big announcement will be that he’s discovered you can save money on your electricity bill by TURNING THE FUCKING LIGHTS OFF. Honestly, we’ve got people running this country who’d turn up to a house fire, hand you a thermometer and congratulate themselves for helping you understand the temperature.
ABSOLUTE FUCKING GENIUS!! Fuck my life !
A 90 point reduction for Man city this season that would relegate them. Financial penalties would mean nothing. Hit them hard
Man City owners knew what they were doing and thought they were smarter than the PL and have behaved like they are bigger than anyone else. When i look at the punishments other clubs have had for just 1 breach, then league 2 awaits them or should. Cheats are cheats
Mixed feelings from yesterdays game @MiamiDolphins team looked hungry and competitive for such a young team. Willis giving us different options from Tua. The only blow was the refs and Achane #Finsup

🏆🏴 Congratulations to Stoke City and Watford who now have the 2011 and 2019 FA Cup to their name after Manchester City’s guilty charge!
It’ll be Watfords ever major trophy. The Europa League campaign that Watford missed out on will be recuperated to the club in due course.
