Canada’s Real Time Rail starts its phased launch this quarter. After years of work, money will move between Canadian bank accounts in seconds, at any hour. That’s good news for everyone in payments. It also shows what’s still missing. Much of the value Canadians hold isn’t a bank balance. It’s loyalty points, store credits, gift cards and, more and more, tokenized assets, each locked in its own system. Moving between them is slow, costly or impossible. The Open Value Network™ is a unified ledger for value. Those forms of value convert and settle against each other on one programmable ledger, on Canadian terms. Banks and payment providers remain on and off ramps, and the Real-Time Rail is the natural way to bring dollars home. CADX™, our Canadian dollar stablecoin used for settlement, carries the Canadian dollar leg inside it. OVN holds tokenized value. The Real Time Rail ties it into traditional finance, so money reaches a bank account in seconds.

Canadians have already adopted stablecoins. Just not Canadian ones. @chainalysis's 2026 North America Crypto Adoption report found that stablecoins made up 44% of Canadian dollar order book volume on crypto exchanges by June 2026, up from 30% a year earlier. Most of that went to USDC. Very little of that went to Canadian dollar stablecoins. So what are Canadian dollar stablecoins for? A Canadian dollar stablecoin doesn’t have to create a market. The users are already here. It just has to give them a reason to switch.

Did you know? 💡 A tokenized bond is still a bond. Under Basel SCO60, it gets the bond's capital treatment too. That holds only if the token clears four conditions: a real underlying asset or a peg that holds, enforceable rights with final settlement, managed network risk, and regulated operators. Miss one and it drops to Group 2, where unbacked crypto carries a 1,250% risk weight. In Canada, @OSFICanada's 2027 guideline applies these rules from November 1 for banks with an October 31 year-end. Tokenized deposits redeemable at par sit in Group 1a. When your payment clears on a shared ledger, someone has to be legally accountable for it. Code alone can't sign for that. A permissioned Layer 1 gives the validators names. Read more in this week's article below.

The largest project in BIS Innovation Hub history spent two years answering one design question: can you share a settlement platform without sharing control of your currency?

Most financial infrastructure forces a choice between currencies, cryptocurrencies, and rewards. Transactix does not. The Open Value Network™ settles fiat, crypto, loyalty rewards, gift value, and digital credits across a single framework. One set of rails across institutional and provincial boundaries. For enterprises managing fragmented systems, interoperability removes the integration tax. Existing infrastructure connects. Workflows stay intact. Value should move across one framework, not through a dozen disconnected ones. Visit our website to learn more👇 transactix.ca/

Every country protects its money. Fewer let it move freely. At the Blockchain @Futurist_conf last week, CEO of Transactix @aliaboudaya made the case: regulation should protect and enable. Canada has the trust part down. Now we need the enablement part. His two minutes on how we get there ⬇️
