A father’s dedication to the railways inspired a daughter’s journey at Transnet. For Beatrice Januarie, Transnet has always represented opportunity, purpose, and pride. Her father began his career with Spoornet in December 1965, contributing to railway safety, freight handling and distribution, asset protection, and operational maintenance. Through the years, he often spoke about Transnet as a great company to work for, sharing stories of dedication, growth, and service. Those words stayed with Beatrice. As she navigated the early stages of her own career, she remembered her father's advice and the pride he took in his work. Inspired by his journey, she chose to join Transnet and today, as an Accounts Payable professional in Finance at TNPA, she is proudly building a legacy of her own. TransnetResults2026 | As we conclude our 2025/26 Annual Results journey, the message is clear: Transnet is making steady progress on its recovery and growth path. The year under review saw improved rail and port performance, reflecting the positive impact of the Reinvent for Growth Strategy, increased collaboration with industry partners and the continued stabilisation of operations across the business. Key indicators point to encouraging momentum, including a 7.1% increase in revenue, improved volumes and a return to profitability, demonstrating that our strategic interventions are beginning to yield tangible results. While significant progress has been made, challenges remain. Cost reduction continues to be a key focus area as we strengthen financial sustainability. Transnet also remains committed to addressing its debt burden, with a targeted strategy in place to reduce debt levels over the next five years and improve the organisation's long-term financial resilience. Partnerships and collaboration remain central to our success. Working alongside government, industry and customers, we are creating the conditions for a stronger, more competitive logistics network that supports economic growth and enables South Africa to thrive. Together, we are building a Transnet that is more resilient, sustainable and positioned for future growth.

#TransnentResults2026 | An important part of Transnet's recovery journey is ensuring that we operate more efficiently while continuing to deliver value to customers and stakeholders. During the 2025/26 financial year, net operating expenditure increased by 10,8% year-on-year, largely driven by specific income and recovery-related items, including the Nedbank swaps settlement income, insurance recoveries, SCAP income, lease recoveries, PRASA recoveries, and maintenance-related costs. While these factors influenced the year's expenditure profile, they also reflect ongoing initiatives to strengthen the business, recover value and maintain critical infrastructure that supports operational performance. #TransnetAnnualResults #OperationalEfficiency #FinancialSustainability #ReinventForGrowth #TransnetCares #WhenTransnetWorksSAThrive
