Whistleblowers expose wrongdoing and empower us all. But without strong legal protections and effective whistleblowing systems, speaking up can come at a huge cost. On #WWBD2025, we reflect on a decade of progress and the road ahead. anticorru.pt/3ct

To support whistleblowers, it is essential for employers to create an environment where staff feel safe and empowered to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
As a part of #WWBD2025, the Integrity at Work (IAW) Programme, encourages employers to take action and inform staff about resources and guidance available to them when raising a concern of wrongdoing.

Very classless by @elonmusk. @POGOwatchdog does an amazing job as watchdog.

In Oct 2024 I spoke with @USAID at their DC HQ. They told me they were funding rule of law, anticorruption and pro-democracy programs in Hungary with several million dollars per year.
With this money gone for NGOs, guess who's gonna benefit?
It should be the duty of EU to fill this funding gap. It is in our very own interest because if no-one checks on corruption in Hungary anymore, Orban and his cronies will steal more and more EU funds.

🔵 Great news! Greenland's parliament has taken a crucial step in safeguarding the country's political integrity.
They’ve approved a ban on foreign & anonymous political donations, & introduced new measures requiring political parties to disclose the amount and identity of each donor. dw.com/en/greenland-pm-propo…

Since Georgian Dream came to power, several individuals have emerged as the party’s largest donors, contributing significant sums to its funding. These donors are closely linked to major businesses, many of which benefit from state contracts and subsidies. The top contributors include:
* David Balanchivadze, former director of RM Gold – 472,000 GEL
* Giorgi Chkonia, associated with the company Gza – 460,000 GEL
* Nato Khainidrava, linked to Cartu Group – 448,000 GEL
* Gia Andghuladze, from Lilo Mall – 397,000 GEL
* Vazha Tsigroshvili, connected to Marniskari – 379,000 GEL
* Zurab Chkhaidze, associated with Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking – 300,000 GEL
* David Dugladze, of Dugladze Wine Company – 282,000 GEL
* Irakli Bekauri, of K da Kartuli Spirit – 267,000 GEL
In Georgia, the line between business and politics has vanished, with corruption at the core of Georgian Dream's rule. While these corrupt arrangements may offer short-term gains to some, they severely hinder the broader economy and actively support an oppressive, illegitimate government. #Georgia #Protest

Our 14 claims request the annulment of results from 150 polling stations due to breaches of secrecy, voter intimidation, vote buying, obstacles to observation and more.

This is what an investigation looks like in a captured country. Evidence collected by observers and media is public, and individuals allegedly involved in the crime are identifiable. Yet, instead of investigating them, our coalition members are summoned for questioning.
.@gevote24 demands that Georgia's Prosecutor’s Office investigates election fraud—not the actions of observers. Despite substantial evidence from the Oct 26 elections, including confiscated ID cards, voter intimidation, and voting secrecy violations, prosecutors haven't acted decisively. Instead, they're questioning coalition members like Londa Toloraia, shifting focus away from election crimes. More: transparency.ge/en/post/my-v…

🚨 @gevote24 observation mission is calling for accountability from electoral leaders following alleged election fraud in the Oct 26 parliamentary elections. Evidence shows the Central Election Commission (CEC) played a key role in a scheme orchestrated by the ruling party.
🔍 Key concerns include:
- Ballot paper issues: Thin paper allowed for voter choice identification.
- Altered election rules: CEC changed procedures just weeks before the election, hindering monitoring efforts.
- Voter intimidation: Observers faced obstruction and harassment.
- Voting irregularities: Reports of individuals voting on behalf of others were rampant.
The CEC’s actions raise serious suspicions of complicity in electoral misconduct. We urge the Prosecutor's Office to investigate these allegations thoroughly. More: transparency.ge/en/post/obse…
