Rather than thinking about our systems/etc in terms of ‘what’s wrong with them?’ we should instead think of them in terms of ‘what’s happened to them?’ Just as we do when we are thinking about people.
Perhaps then we can begin to truly transform our services.

Getting close now. 53 people (so far) signed up to come and explore possibilities for RP in Ireland. No set agenda. People on the night decide. Follow the "law of 2 feet" and go where your interest takes you. No experience of RP necessary. We are all learners on this journey

Something we look at on our trainings - the difference between shame and guilt and strategies to work with this in school. Approaches can create safe boundaries and teach consequences without being shaming
"It is essential to understand that the antidote to shame is empathy and connection not detention & punishment!"

Behaviour is a way of communicating needs or wants in response to an environment. Behaviour allows communication 'beyond words'. When someone is 'acting out', screaming or aggressive they are trying to tell us something that is often difficult to communicate with speech ❤️

Guilt vs Shame. Shame shows up on the body differently, is experienced in silence, and can have a lasting effect on self worth. Shame is experienced much earlier than guilt, in children as young as 15 months.
