I’ll always stand for protecting girls in their sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms. Women fought hard for Title IX to ensure girls had fair opportunities.
Stand up for these girls, like @Frances_Staudt and countless more, and vote YES on initiative 638
Tina Kotek had to bring in Jay Inslee 🤣
In a sane world, this should be the kiss of death for any campaign.
Replying to @JayInslee
@JayInslee and I agree: Oregon has led the nation in using vote-by-mail. Donald Trump wants to take us backward, but I’m not going to let him or anybody else take away our safe and secure system.

No amount of taxation will fix a budget that spends this much more each year.
Good budgets should matter to everyone.
Ask this question. Can the state do better in its delivery of services?
Not, is it wrong or right to do something.
Keep it simple. Can we do better?
As you give your $ to the state today is it succeeding or failing already?
How would $13b more in 2029 help it where it already fails. Let’s talk about funding success and inviting negative feedback loops.
Right now the state ignores negative feedback, and doubles down on funding failure.
The income tax that was passed did nothing to address our systemic failures.
Despite so many attempts to insert reform into the income tax debate and law. All of those efforts were shut down.
Do you want better services? The income tax won’t deliver that.
Do you want better value? The income tax won’t deliver that.
Do you want representative government? The income tax won’t deliver that.
We can do better.

Shocking… I actually agree with Jay Inslee for once. The high cost of energy and fuel in WA *primarily* is a choice made by Democrats in Olympia.
Electricity rates in Washington state are climbing rapidly, with public and private utilities increasing rates by 30% over the next three years.
Who is to blame?
@jayinslee is correct. The biggest drivers of how much you pay comes from the state capitol. #waleg

This is why I'm voting YES on the Income Tax ban (again).
Just 2 years ago the house and senate was essentially forced by the voters to pass a ban. At the first opportunity they turned around and did what they wanted anyway.
This is the Governor who promised you he wouldn't sign this tax (signing the tax). And the House and Senate .. who told you they agreed with you (cheering at the adoption of the tax).
For me the reasons to vote Yes on this ban are clear enough. I hope you'll join me. And help me keep fighting to stop this attack on the intelligence and trust of working Washingtonians.

Vote yes on all 3 initiatives.

Truly amazing new low for MGP. Literally from the very article MGP cites, as she hopes you’re too lazy and reactionary to read:
“Braun Northwest was named as a finalist by the Association of Washington Business for the Washington Workforce Award and for Employer of the Year.”
And the “child labor” violations? Sounds ominous right? Minor violations from a statewide apprenticeship opportunity for teens.
“The state agency found the company improperly allowed a minor to work more than eight hours per day during a nonschool week on seven occasions and improperly allowed two minors to operate machinery, according to citation records.
A 17-year-old operated a drill press, which the agency says is prohibited for minors to use without a barrier guard, and was injured when her glove was caught in the drill bit, the records say.”
“The teenager who was injured remains employed with the company and defends it.”
“That minor, Patience Dour, worked at Braun Northwest through a statewide apprenticeship program. Dour, now 19, told The Post that “the accident was nothing but my own fault.” She said she was trained to use the drill press without gloves, but she later decided to use it while wearing them”
This is no longer just a series of ‘anomalies’. It's a pattern of putting profits over working people. From child labor citations to unsafe machinery practices and opposition to whistleblower protections, the record raises serious questions about whether worker safety ever came first at Braun Northwest.
Most people I know believe that how you treat your own employees is a pretty good indicator of how you'll treat everyone else. Everything you need to know about how @votejohnbraun will represent Southwest Washington, you can learn from how he dismissed worker safety at Braun Northwest.
MGP has decided that attacking her opponent’s private business and the people who work there is fair game in her campaign. It’s not about the issues, but punishing political opponents even if it does her own district harm. Not surprising considering she’s spent her time in Congress attacking business and jobs.
WA employers navigate one of the most complicated regulatory environments in America, yet vast amounts of Braun’s employees have admonished MGP for gutter politics and lies about their work conditions. But she has nothing else to run on.
Taking a regulatory citation and exploiting it to smear a political opponent’s character is despicable. A Democrat using their LNI as a political weapon is totally believable to me.
I know John, I have immense respect for him. Like me, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. Like me, he runs a business and employs people. He’s served his district well, and is an even-keeled, responsible, professional, thoughtful and caring person.
We need more people in Congress like John, not more politicians like Marie who will assassinate your character because you dared to challenge her.
Garbage of the Seattle Times to wait till October to publish a citation from July like this for purely partisan political reasons. Literally no one is surprised at what the Times will do to make sure its party maintains power.
Today, the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries fined Braun Northwest $12,842 for failing to protect workers from “contact with shear points,” according to a new Seattle Times investigation.
It’s the latest in a troubling pattern of workplace safety problems at Senator Braun’s company. In Olympia, Braun voted against protecting workers from retaliation when they report safety hazards. He says his business takes safety seriously. The record says otherwise.
Who I recommend for WA State Supreme Court:
- Scott Edwards
- David Stevens
- Dave Larson
- Sean O’Donnell
- Todd Bloom
I believe these candidates will fairly apply the law, fairly interpret the state constitution, and operate as independent jurists.
Jewish voters should choose Jesse Salomon. Despite our many differences and disagreements, the reason they want him out of office is because he stood up to the antisemitism in his caucus. Unlike his opponent, he doesn’t want to lower the threshold of the income tax, and he stands up for Jewish people. Those things we can agree on.
To voters in Shoreline, Edmonds, and Lynnwood: This is not an endorsement, because he's taken votes I cannot support, but Jesse Salomon's opponent said she wants to tax the income of all households making $250,000 a year. HARD PASS. Vote for Jesse. Republicans, do not sit this one out and don't waste your vote writing someone in.
