MW4 Bug Report - Multiplayer & DMZ [October 22]: After a weapon is prestiged, the Challenges menu shows a Military camo as the next in the unlock sequence, despite all Military camos already being unlocked. Frequency: Consistent. It occurs on prestiged weapons and persists after restarting the game. Environment: Tested on October 22, 2026; ATVI ID ChadOfDuty#3409721; PC (BattleNet); Patch 13.2; Changelog 29580535 [will in-game build string moving forward]; Multiplayer and DMZ. Description: Prestiging a weapon resets its rank to level 1, but its unlocked camos are kept. However, the Challenges menu, both the Weapon Mastery tab and the Tracked and Near Complete tab, displays the weapon’s first Military camo as the next one to work on, instead of the nearest Special or Completionist camo. This appears to be a visual bug only, as the Military camos remain unlocked and usable. As the prestiged weapon levels back up, the displayed camo advances through the Military camos in-step with its rank, as it would on a weapon that had never been leveled. The tracker continues pointing to Military camos that are already unlocked. Workarounds: None known. Reproduction Steps: 1. Level a weapon to max rank to unlock all of its Military camos. 2. Prestige the weapon. 3. In the side menu, navigate to Challenges > Weapon Camos, and view the weapon in the Weapon Mastery or Tracked and Near Complete tab. 4. Observe that across both menus, a Military camo is displayed as the next camo, instead of the nearest Special/Completionist camo. Expected Result: The Challenges menu shows the next camo the player can actually work toward. Actual Result: The menu displays Military camo progress as though the weapon had not been leveled or prestiged, rather than the nearest earnable camo. Notes: As the weapon re-levels after prestige, the displayed Military camo follows its current rank. This suggests the menu chooses the next camo based on weapon rank rather than on which camos are actually unlocked. I assume that once the weapon reaches max rank again, the menu will finally point to the Special/Completionist camos, but I have not confirmed this yet.
