Our team is way smaller now. Not cuz we wanted to be small. We kept finding the human bottlenecks.

Dental practices score 4+ without trying: atoms, a license, patients who come for their dentist, years of records. Their risk isn't AI replacing them, it's the practice down the street using it first

Ran the 1.75-bit Bonsai 2 27B on my 16GB M2 MacBook Air.
Thinking on: 28/28 fact extraction, 12/12 tagging, 5/5 tool calls, 22/23 code tests.
But ~8 tok/s, and swap hit 13GB.
Weak spot: dates. It booked "tomorrow" as today.
Great overnight worker. Not a daily driver.
Qwen3.8-27B has been compressed from 55.6GB to just 5.9GB using Bonsai 2.
That’s an 89.4% reduction in model size, while retaining a reported 98.2% of aggregate benchmark performance across 20 benchmarks, according to PrismML.
The compression uses ternary quantization. Instead of storing weights across a wide range of numerical values, it maps them to just three states: -1, 0 and +1, with scaling factors to preserve useful information.
The interesting part is how much capability survives that reduction.
PrismML reports that Bonsai 2 also improves performance in areas such as coding agents, multimodal reasoning and long-horizon tool use. Its previous compression of the same 27B model retained around 95% of benchmark performance, making this a further improvement.
A 5.9GB model file could make Qwen3.8-27B accessible on more modest hardware, including setups that previously couldn’t accommodate its full weights.
There are two important caveats, though.
First, 5.9GB is the compressed model size, not the total memory required to run it. Runtime memory still depends on the inference engine, context length, KV cache and other overhead.
Second, 98.2% is an aggregate across benchmarks. It doesn’t mean every task retains exactly 98.2% of the original model’s capability.
Still, compressing a 27B model this aggressively while preserving most of its measured performance is a notable result. The next question is how it performs in real-world coding, reasoning and agent workflows.
Yobi puts your bots to work
I honestly still don’t get point if the main bot (operator ⭐️) it’s my least used bot. Often times I’m wishing I had threads. The bots behave differently inside @yobi_app a bit more structure. The harness is truly a work of art 🫡

My favorite dua when approaching serious agentic work is Surah Mu’minoon ayah 97-98.
We’re quick to blame the AI, but I find that we need to bring our best selves first. Machines amplify, check intention => application.
Better Humans => Better Machines
❌ Cartesian dualism
❌ Reductionism
The job’s changed (I know you’re sad, but ur not ur job), your Humanity is more precious than ever.
Incidentally ayah 96 is a prerequisite if you’re between X & Talking to Agents 😅

I actually use them all inside @yobi_app agents.YiB.io lets me connect my agents together along with my team. They each have their strengths. Didn’t make sense to stick to one, put them all to work.

Had my agents swap my banner & profile pic across my socials this week. Six went thru fine. YouTube still wants proof it’s really me 😂

Our frontier team includes agents and they kick my butt.
keeping up with AI is a full-time job. that's why every company needs a frontier team:
the frontier team's job is to keep up as models change. everyone else's job is to use what they learn

I doubt any amount of money is worth unleashing the horror of dead kids and broken future generations. I’m not a doomer. I’m just saying it’s not the tech to fear, it’s the human and the culture.

This is pretty incredible! Can’t wait to give my agents phones!
We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent.
It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

What if your AI agents came to work with your human team?
@grok, @claudeai, @openclaw, @OpenAI codex, dots, @NousResearch Hermes, even Muse. Across your machines and your cloud, in one place.
It started with tmux and a lot of context engineering.
What would you hand off first?
