Testing the new rotorhead hardware.
Onboard cameras are now mandatory lol.
You can see the resonance zones during spinup, super cool. This will be super helpful for tuning.
Test flight #3

Thanks to our COO @dylancm for keeping us on schedule with testing.
How very software dev coded this is...
I can't fully articulate it yet but I believe this will likely lead to the enshittification of our industry IMHO.
I could be wrong, from my perspective anyone can bullshit a test.
No one can bullshit a 90 day immersive project.
We’ve raised a $2.5M pre-seed to fix hardware hiring.
The most reliable way to know if an engineer can do the job is to watch them work.
In hardware, that’s been almost impossible to do at scale.
Colare runs simulation-based assessments that show how candidates actually work, in the tools they’d use on the job, before anyone books an interview.
We assess across:
- Mechanical (CAD, DFM, FEA)
- Electrical (PCB, schematics)
- Systems
- Manufacturing, & more.
Candidates solve problems from first principles.
Hiring teams see that across their whole pool, so engineers only interview people who’ve already cleared the bar.
We're already working with everyone from seed-stage startups to multi-billion-dollar aerospace manufacturers.
If you’re hiring hardware engineers, let’s talk:

PATENTS
I need to file more PATENTS so I can start showing you guys the cool shit the team is producing.
Quite literally what @ratriodrone is doing.
Was in DC last week for AUSA, saw some cool stuff, met a lot of other founders who are building critical systems we want to integrate in our initial catalog of integrated payload systems.
Even found the batmobile.
grandma just dropped off some "anti-viral" nasal spray.
I read the label after using it.... its mostly peppermint oil.....

Watched a young founder pitching some boomers last night at an F1 event.
It looked exactly like this.
Alright
My kid is coming home tomorrow and they've got the flu.
Parents, I need your proven hacks to try and turbocharge my immune system.
Just had a prototype airframe saved from thermal runaway because a solder joint made by our intern failed.
He was a Mechanical Eng student.
Lesson: Never hire Electrical Engineers, just under temp your soldering irons.
Dude takes one morning off and the engineering team starts an electrical fire.
Replying to @Tri_Stanisaurus
Your Ops guy would like to say that he had a very peaceful, quiet coffee this morning.
Jesus christ, just make it fold laundry and do the damn dishes already. We don't give a shit about anything else.
We're cranking the GPUs so hard my Ops guy had to move the server he set up at home to the office, as his electricity bill was skyrocketing.
Apparently he kept waking up to the image below when one of us would run our design and simulation stack at 2 am.
Can't help but think of the guys recently claiming compressed gasses couldn't make shock diamonds.
Also we need more helium.
No helium means no new smartphones, laptops, cars, MRI machines, or missiles. This irreplaceable resource is now in short supply as the war with Iran continues. @jon_wertheim reports, Sunday on 60 Minutes.
