my opinion on it varies. if they are making an effort to change i'll always give them that chance. if they don't try or keep exhibiting the same behaviors and patterns, then how much time has passed is irrelevant.
no one is criticizing helluva / hazbin for having dark themes or situations. it's hell. the criticism is over the fact that the themes themselves are written and handled like shit, which is-...true.
"that's not what she meant!" look it reaches a certain point with characters that you can no longer feel sympathy for them. stolas coersed, manipulated, etc. blitz. he had all the power in that 'relationship'. everything bad that's happened to him for a while is his OWN fault.
