It's going to be a GREAT term 🇺🇸 📹 UVA Center for Politics Kyle Kondik frames the importance of the win: "The Democrats won a bunch of districts that were redder than this one, so McGuire holding on...is actually pretty impressive given all of the wreckage we've seen." Larry Sabato, head of the partisan Center for Politics, had called it for Perriello. The Perrielllo campaign conceded on Nov 5 after the AP called the race. They hoped for votes from UVA students to swing the election -- relying on Provisional ballots from Same Day Registration. Perriello was on Grounds constantly (see video in REPLY). But the strategy failed. And only 53% of Charlottesville city voters bothered to cast a ballot. The Perriello team finally acknowledged it "no longer sees a path for changing the outcome." Elitist blue Charlottesville liberal denied by everyday folk who know political lies when they see them.
