If only science would dictate policy in the US! It’s time to let people use safer nicotine delivery.
Vaping products are the most popular stop smoking aid in England. However, vaping is often portrayed in a negative way, leading to confusion about its safety. #VapingDemystified provides people with the information needed to make an informed decision 👇 yorkshirecancerresearch.org.…

New: The US public is being told that we have a "whole new generation addicted to nicotine. But @CDCgov/@FDA surveys show teen nicotine use has dropped to a 50-year low. Weird right? 😕 medium.com/@tchad49/teen-nic…

RJR helped push South Carolina’s vape registry. Now they’re mailing out ads for flavored Vuse pods with little lift-and-sniff cards. So when independent vape shops sell flavors, it’s a crisis. When Big Tobacco does it, we’re supposed to scratch and sniff? You cannot make this shit up.

Nicotine gum, lozenges, patches, vaping, snus, pouches, and heat-not-burn products are valid public health harm reduction tools. Harm reduction is a proven alternative to abstinence; blocking it reveals ideological bias and public health failure.

The only reason vaping is “bad”. Follow the money. Bans are meant to protect tobacco $$. Nothing else.
I'm hearing that PMI highlighted significant growth potential for cigarettes in Turkey and Vietnam. Both of those countries have banned safer alternatives after being pushed to do so by Bloomberg/WHO. I think a golf clap is in order.

I know you didn't ask, but I still don't care if you vape a 50mg salt, chew snus, pop a pouch, use heat-not-burn, or smoke a cigarette. It’s your choice, your business. The single worst thing for public health isn't nicotine, it's watching bureaucrats and prohibitionists blocking less harmful alternatives so they can micromanage everyone else's life. Leave adults alone. Live and let live. 💨

Can’t ride that lie forever. The numbers don’t even remotely suggest a crisis. Be concerned about whatever else they are doing. #Parenting

@DWStweets can't be this ignorant to claim we need new legislation that will spend $100M ANNUALLY to combat the "RISE" in youth vaping! “Youth vaping is a public health crisis, and we need to treat it like one." Spending $100M every year on enhanced research and grants for states and localities to address this (non-existent) issue is either just a corrupt slush fund and/or a clear example of why our government is so far in debt. Certainly, these out-of-touch legislators must have staff who could just Google it and find out there is absolutely zero basis or justification for this legislation. floridianpress.com/2026/08/d…

Imagine #PublicHealth spending decades on a public health issue [smoking] with marginal success, only for a consumer-driven solution [vaping] to reduce combustible tobacco faster than ever, and then treating the solution like a crime?

I don't understand why more independent vape companies couldn't get their products through the PMTA process.😆 Despite the FDAs public statements, 99% of independent vape manufacturers never had a chance of obtaining an FDA Marketing Order and still don't. filtermag.org/glas-vaping-fl…

490,000 DEATHS every year from smoking @US_FDA controls #SaferNicotine authorizations Safer nicotine firms applied for authorization FDA dragged its feet for YEARS on those authorizations But FDA will let them remain on the market And health groups are suing FDA for that? 🙄

And TI led with the “ look kids, everyone’s doing it” campaigns.
Recent survey data show that 85% of young people report seeing tobacco use in content they watch, and 43% of those planning to quit say seeing imagery makes it harder to quit.

The whole "youth vaping epidemic" panic was a 10+ year lie, a manufactured narrative pushed hard by nonprofits like @truthinitiative, @TobaccoFreeKids, and their allies. Goal? Stoke fear, secure funding, and justify stripping adults of safer nicotine options. NYTS 2025 just proved it again: youth vaping and smoking both keep dropping hard, no gateway surge. Smoking at record lows. They cried wolf for control. Adults deserve facts, not fearmongering. TEN years of denying harm reduction to WE the people. Leave ADULTS alone.

I will remind you that these "professionals" (among others) predicted, with "#data and studies", a "gateway" to smoking by teens, and were WRONG: @truthinitiative, @StevenStackMD, @VitalStrat, @ProfGlantz, @DrFrieden, @AmerAcadPeds, @TobaccoFreeKids, @ParentsvsVape. Now what do you hear? Crickets. What else do they lie about?

Can’t make this shit up! The corruption that has shuttered (non big tobacco) vape businesses, is protecting deadly cigarettes and their shareholders. For the children, of course. #ReparationsNow
Funny how former FDA officials change their tune once they go thru the FDAs "revolving door" to obtain a high paying job in the industry they once regulated: Dr. Matt Holman was the former Chief Scientist at the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products (2017-2022) where he approved and signed the infamous "fatal flaw" memo that resulted in marketing denials to 99%+ of millions of PMTAS. Dr. Holman is now the VP & Chief Science & Regulatory Strategy Officer for PMI. (While at the FDA he oversaw & signed PMI’s IQOS PMTA and MRTP authorizations). During his FDA tenure, he didn't seem very concerned about the 500K adult smokers that died every year he was there. Instead, he was worried more about how flavors (that adults prefer) might also be used by youth. NOW, he is complaining that "America Forgot the Smoker. It’s Costing Lives." realclearhealth.com/articles…

Is awarding only big tobacco with all of the approvals a “pre-established regulatory objective? Must be, because the small vapor solutions that have helped millions are getting crushed. Wiped out in favor of big tobacco. Gross, Scott.
Replying to @JMacNYC @SquawkCNBC
Not exactly what I said. I was addressing only the enforcement discretion policy, and said I would have considered governing principles on which products qualified for that enforcement discretion, to align with pre-established regulatory objectives.
