Phil here is 100% right. Apple’s Vision Pro is such a masterpiece in user interface. And again Apple accomplished it without a controller (remember the ‘stylus’ bit in Steve’s iPhone presentation?). So @tim_cook, I guess I speak for the entire Apple development community when I say: Steve would have been super proud of the AVP.
One feature of Vision Pro that is vastly underrated is its magnificent and beautifully crafted software design, making visionOS truly one of a kind. As a UI designer, it’s incredibly satisfying to experience these designs up close while they remain stunningly sharp. It’s my kind of ASMR.
On what would have been Steve’s 70th birthday, I can only imagine how much he would appreciate the care and attention we continue to give to human interface design today.

25 years ago today, we introduced the iPod. 1,000 songs in your pocket.
A small team. An unforgiving deadline. We had months to bring the hardware, software, and music experience together. Proud of what we built and that it means so much to people still today. A device that has been woven in many ways into our lives. People have filled their iPods with road trips, breakups, workouts, special occasions with family and friends.
How cool that the iPod has become part of culture and our stories. 25 years, it’s hard to believe! Celebrating the team that made it happen today 👏

Wow. Back in 2017, Volkswagen’s CEO absolutely ridiculed Elon Musk and Tesla with a breathtaking level of arrogance, compounded by that typically German air of smug superiority. Here's a translation:
"Well, I suppose I have to say a few words about Tesla. With all due respect, there are companies out there that are world champions at making grand announcements. I won't name names.
There are companies that struggle to sell 80,000 cars a year. Volkswagen sold 11 million that year. Then there are companies like Volkswagen that generate €13 or €14 billion in annual profits. And if I'm correctly informed, Tesla is burning through hundreds of millions of euros every quarter, while firing employees whenever it feels like it.
As for any sense of social responsibility, I'm not sure where that comes into the picture.

I've been traveling the world a bit. One of the most incredible experiences was getting to visit Taiwan w/ @JensenHuang. It was wild 🤯.. huge crowds of engineers, insanely good street food at night markets, and of course a lot of good conversations across many days. I caught some of it on video, see below.
