100%, I want to praise what Redbull did during conquest, they came in and worked with the local fgc. Part of the reason that @AkihabaraDenver has become what it has over the years quickly is due to Redbull working with us and not trying to take over a scene.
They're really moving like amazon out here. I was just remembering how hype it was when we had SBO qualifers, it really propped up smaller tournaments, no one was flying from Cali to Rhode Island for a tournament before that lol
Remember how hype it was when there was SBO qualifiers? Because of it smaller tourneys that normally wouldn't get travelers had people pop up but it didn't distract from SBO or cannibalize the existing tournament. People were in Rhode Island!!
How would saying Evo Presents not grow their brand? The only difference it also grow the brand of whatever tournament they were presenting. It would be like Blumhouse or A24. The FGC is owed something for running those brackets because there was no Evo without those people.
I don’t have a dog in the fight but if Evo cared about growing those other communities it wouldn’t be eating the other events it would prop them up. It would be Evo Presents “Brazilian major” not Evo Brazil imo. We know what it really is, why is anyone pretending otherwise?
