Iraq-PMF-Turkey:
The Turkish official said the agreement was also intended to deprive Iran-backed militias of a justification for retaining their weapons:
“At a time when the United States is withdrawing its forces from Iraq, the Turkish military presence was not only being used by Iraqi militias as a justification for keeping their weapons, but was also raising suspicions among legitimate Iraqi political actors about Turkey’s true intentions toward their country,” the official told @AlMonitor
Sinjar: According to a Turkish national security official who spoke to Al-Monitor on condition of anonymity, the Bashiqa agreement was partly linked to Ankara’s “satisfaction” with Baghdad’s cooperation on efforts to disarm the PKK and curb the group’s activities in Iraq.

The Turkish model historically achieved the most effective results
According to the Polish Armed Forces, a Russian Armed Forces Mi-8 helicopter flew 300m into Polish airspace for 42 seconds and was tracked by Polish radar installations. The helicopter came from Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave and per the Polish Armed Forces release, the incident is another example of Russia testing Poland’s readiness.
🇹🇷✈️ Another big step forward for KAAN.
Turkish Aerospace has released fresh footage of the KAAN P1 prototype rolling under its own power during taxi trials, showing that the aircraft is steadily progressing through ground testing ahead of its maiden flight.
If everything stays on schedule, P1 is expected to take to the skies within the next few months, with both P1 and P2 planned to be flying before the end of 2026.
The Turkish Air Force is also still on track to receive the first production KAAN aircraft in 2028.
Every successful test brings the program one step closer to operational service. It’s exciting to see Türkiye’s fifth-generation fighter continue to hit important milestones.

The stage is set in Ankara.
Under President Erdoğan’s leadership, Türkiye stands ready to welcome NATO members at a moment that will define the Alliance’s future.
The decisions taken in Ankara will not merely address immediate challenges — they will shape the Euro‑Atlantic security environment for the years ahead.
Collective defense remains the core of NATO, yet the strategic environment is shifting. Threats are multi‑domain, faster, and more complex. Traditional metrics no longer capture this reality. What matters now is output: deployable capability, industrial capacity, and operational readiness.
A stronger European contribution is essential — but restrictions on defense‑industrial cooperation undermine efficiency and slow response. These constraints have become strategic liabilities. European defense initiatives must remain fully inclusive of all NATO Allies.
The real issue is not only how we respond, but how we organize cooperation in a way that reflects today’s realities. The Ankara Summit will guide the Alliance in aligning its structures with the world it faces.
Türkiye’s objective is clear: a more coherent, more capable, and more resilient Alliance.
Türkiye unveiled a ~42,000 lbf class turbofan at SAHA 2026, developed by the MoD’s R&D center.
For reference, the F135 (F-35) produces ~43,000 lbf.
This places the concept in the high-thrust fighter engine category.
Now connect it properly:
KAAN is a twin-engine platform.
Meaning:
If an indigenous engine in this class matures,
a twin configuration would put total thrust in the 80,000+ lbf range.
That directly impacts:
• performance envelope
• supercruise potential
• long-term independence from foreign engines
Still early-stage.
But strategically, this is the layer that matters.

Bayraktar KIZILELMA PT-5 marks the beginning of a new chapter.
The prototype has completed aerodynamic system identification tests with afterburner takeoff, showing visible design refinements compared to PT-3 and PT-4.
The airspeed probe seen on earlier units is now gone a clear step toward stealth optimization and reduced RCS signature, signaling the transition from testbed to a near-production airframe.
Each prototype iteration is faster, cleaner, and more combat-ready.

🇺🇸/🇹🇷Washington is chasing Turkish drones.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan confirmed that the US has formally requested Baykar to establish a production line on American soil.
Why it matters:
– Turkish UCAVs have proven themselves in Syria, Nagorno-Karabakh, Ukraine, and Africa.
– They are cost-effective, combat-tested, and export-ready exactly what the Pentagon wants to integrate rather than compete with.
– A Baykar facility in the US would mark the first time NATO’s largest power imports drone doctrine from Türkiye.
From “emerging producer” to trend-setter of unmanned warfare, Ankara is now shaping how even Washington prepares for the battlefield of tomorrow

Baykar’s momentum is getting difficult for anyone to match.
KIZILELMA has now completed another performance test flight this time carrying the indigenous Gökdoğan air-to-air missile and operating with the MURAD AESA radar.
Every few weeks or days a new capability is being flown, validated, and pushed to the next stage. No prototypes sitting in hangars everything is progressing through real flight hours.
Türkiye is rapidly maturing an unmanned fighter that can integrate national sensors, national missiles, and national datalinks in one ecosystem.
KIZILELMA is becoming a combat-ready platform faster than most expected.

Turkish President Erdogan:
Let me state this very clearly: no one should go looking for adventure, and no one should hitch themselves to the wagon of the Zionist network of massacres.
If anyone attempts to infringe upon the rights and interests of Türkiye and the Turkish Cypriots in the Eastern Mediterranean, I want it to be known that our response will be very clear—and very firm!

Ankara's Court of Appeals has ruled that Türkiye's main opposition party, the CHP, acted illegally when it removed its long-time leader, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, during a 2023 party congress. The court ordered Kılıçdaroğlu's immediate reinstatement and the removal of the current party leader, Özgür Özel.

BREAKING — Turkey unveils intercontinental ballistic missile Yildirimhan with 6,000KM range during SAHA arms expo.
Developed by Turkish Defense Ministry
Türkiye’s ASELSAN under @AhmetAkyol leadership just put its full LGK Laser Guidance Kit production pipeline on display and it’s a textbook example of modern smart-munitions manufacturing.
From high-speed automated lines straight into precision assembly, then massive-scale stockpiling and rigorous live-fire testing, every stage is now running at industrial speed.
What does this actually mean for general readers?
The LGK turns cheap, unguided “dumb” bombs into laser-guided precision weapons. One kit upgrade and an ordinary bomb suddenly hits targets with surgical accuracy at a fraction of the cost of purpose-built smart munitions.
In today’s conflicts, that’s a major force multiplier: more standoff options, less reliance on expensive imports, and full indigenous control over the supply chain.
Türkiye is quietly building one of the most capable defense industries in the region, and this pipeline proves they’ve moved from prototype to mass production.
Impressive execution. The scale in the factory footage is hard to miss.
