Today is the National Day for the Victims of Communism. Communism killed more than 100 million people in the 20th century.
This memorial, The Memorial to the Victims of Communism in Prague, powerfully captures what communism does to the human person.

There is no secret cabal running the world. The consistent bad decisions from leaders you see are due to ideology and entropy. They don’t have to coordinate. Decay is the default. Blame democracy itself, not its figureheads. Government incentives are bad.

If you’re actively trying to stop AI development, you’re my enemy and an enemy of humanity.
I consider what you’re doing a direct attack on humanity’s future.
Every disease that could have been cured, every life that could have been saved, every person who could have escaped poverty.
Every opportunity lost is a direct consequence of your actions, and those lives are on your shoulders.
You’re willing to sacrifice all of that because you’re terrified of progress.
I have absolutely zero tolerance for this.
Your movement deserves to be politically defeated, intellectually dismantled, and remembered as one of the greatest obstacles to human progress in history.

If we ever lose this moment, if the fire dies out before it's had the time to cleanse the institutions, 100% of the blame will be on the Retard Right's boneheaded rejection of economics as the domain of myopic materialist bean-counters.
Everyone who reposted that monumentally retarded RHG screenshot about "fake spreadsheet hierarchies", everyone who stubbornly defended the tariffs, everyone who downplayed the importance of the debt during the OBBB debate, everyone who failed to decouple their understanding of the political from the economic effects of mass deportations. All of them are symptoms of a disease infecting the right that, if it continues to progress, will kill any hope of a long-term victory.
There are at most a couple years left before the debt spiral accelerates enough to lock in the hyperinflation outcome, after which every single election will be a game of loot-the-treasury and a race against the clock to solidify what little gains are made between each bipolar swing of the electorate. In that environment, the left will win, because they have no qualms about looting, or about speeding off a cliff, and because the total obliteration of society is part of their win condition while it isn't ours.
We're going to win in the very long term, that's an inevitability, but how much of the next century or two will be spent picking up the pieces of civilization is wholly dependent on whether or not we let the movement be driven by the medieval peasant and illiterate grunt segments of the right.
I think the bones of RW populism are solid but what you need next is a happy warrior with confidant narratives who keeps the economy humming, the prices of beef and gasoline down, foreign entanglements to a minimum (maybe nuke anyone who interferes with shipping lanes but leave it at that), and who keeps all the dirty, unpleasant business that needs to be done almost entirely out of view.

Guns owned by civilizans = 500 million
Homicide rate: 5.9 deaths per 100,000 people
Brazil: Pop = 210 million
Guns owned by civilizans: 5 million
Homicide rate: 16 per 100,000 inhabitants
In conclusion: Go fuck yourself

Shouldn't it be a sign to these people to maybe re-examine the anti-prosperity policies they keep advocating for, when the worlds greatest businessman is seriously considering putting datacenters in fucking space as a cost-saving measure due to just how terrible the regulations on Earth are?

Leftist discourse is in many ways trapped in the pages of Das Kapital and Oliver Twist. Poverty is still imagined in Dickensian images of orphans begging for food, chimney sweeps stealing bread to feed a family of 14, and the urban poor crammed into crumbling, freezing tenements. The identity of the oppressed has shifted from economic (working class, middle class, etc.) towards race and gender, but the underlying oppressor–oppressed paradigm remains frozen in the aesthetic imagination of the 19-century English city.
