Six months pregnant, and ICE arrested her anyway. Maria did everything right. She checked in with ICE for over a decade, as required, while her asylum case moved through the courts. She had no criminal record. She had an American citizen son. She told the agents at her routine check-in in Dallas that she was pregnant, and they detained her anyway, sending her to the Bluebonnet Detention Center three hours from her home and her husband.

Her reward for surviving that ordeal is an active removal order and a family that now lives in fear every time she has to show up for another check-in. This did not happen because the system broke. It happened because the system worked exactly as designed, and a pregnant woman’s body became a problem to be warehoused instead of a life to be protected.

We cannot fix this with outrage alone. We fix it by taking back the power to hold ICE accountable. Help us elect The People’s Majority and put an end to ICE’s terrorism, violence and cruelty.

Justin Pearson asked for a vote on banning a gas-powered data center. Memphis City Council responded by banning him, his family, and other residents from City Hall for two months. Turn Left PAC endorses Pearson because he fights for Tennessee, not for xAI’s 59 gas turbines and special interests. @justinjpearson

Some voters put their ballot in the mailbox on time. It still didn't count. The Postal Service cut mail pickups from twice a day to once at post offices far from processing plants. That's almost 20,000 ZIP codes, mostly rural. Ballots don't get postmarked until they reach a regional plant, so a ballot mailed on time can get stamped late. In counties hit by the cuts, ballots rejected for arriving late doubled or tripled compared to the 2022 primary, a ProPublica analysis found. In one Washington county, election workers found more than 500 ballots in the mailbox three days after the primary. Not one of them counted. They were warned. In January 2025, the Postal Regulatory Commission said the plan would hurt rural communities. The Postal Service rolled it out anyway. Slowing the mail until ballots arrive too late to count suppresses votes. Plain and simple. We should be making it easier for people to vote, not harder. That's why we need to elect candidates who will fight for voters in the US House and Senate. Congress oversees the Postal Service, and the right majority can demand answers. Now they say ballots will be fast-tracked before Nov 3. Don't bet your vote on it. Mail your ballot at least a week before your state's deadline. Use a drop box if your state has them, or vote in person. Share this with someone who votes by mail. Help us elect the People's Majority! turnleft.link/PeoplesMajorit…

Justin J. Pearson stood up when it mattered. He walked out of the Tennessee legislature rather than stay silent, stood firm when Republican leadership tried to expel him for it, and never stopped showing up for working families since. Now he’s taking that same fight to Congress, and the only way he gets there is if voters hear directly from someone who believes in him. Pick up the phone, tell Tennessee why Justin matters, and help build the kind of grassroots campaign that actually wins. We need hands on phones right now. Not next week. Now. Stella Parton went to vote early at a Nashville library this week and the machine kept flipping her Senate pick to MAGA bootlicker Marsha Blackburn. She had to go back three times to make her Democratic vote stick. And she wasn’t the only one either. Voters in Williamson County report their screens pulling the same trick. Stella’s warning to Tennessee was “Don’t let them rig this election.” This chicanery is happening in the state where our Turn Left champion Justin Pearson is fighting to hold the ONLY Democratic seat Republicans already gerrymandered to hell. Extremist cowards redrew the 9th district to divide the power of Black voters in Memphis, and now the machines themselves are acting squirrelly. Funny how the glitches only ever lean one direction. This is all part of a pattern we’ve been breaking down for weeks. Mike Rogers got caught on tape wanting off-duty cops posted at Detroit polls to scare voters. Markwayne Mullin wants armed ICE goons at polling places. And Trump’s flunkies are openly floating martial law if the results hurt their feelings. These cowards finally looked up from being head and knees down bootlicking for billionaires to see the world they created around them is chaos, and everyday people surprisingly hate that garbage. As Stella’s big sister Dolly put it, “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” We’ve weathered the whole MAGA storm, folks. We will keep on fighting. 12 days left.

Neighbors in Blair Township packed the room, and the board listened. A unanimous vote just enacted a one-year moratorium on data center development in Grand Traverse County, Michigan, after residents raised the alarm on skyrocketing electric bills, strained water supplies, and relentless noise. This comes right behind Leon County, Florida’s 18-month pause on the same industry. Two counties, one message: when communities organize and show up, power shifts back to the people who actually live there. We need senators who protect people from corporate power grabs, not ones who clear the way for AI corporations to cash in on our communities. Vote for Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan and Angie Nixon in Florida for US Senate.

Ashley Moody has been a Senator for about 5 minutes & is already drowning in a corruption scandal. A Florida grand jury found $10 million meant for poor kids’ healthcare got funneled through the governor’s pet charity into Republican politics instead, and found Moody knew the plan and authorized her deputy to sign off. As attorney general, she also investigated the sweetheart work-release deal that let Epstein leave jail sixteen hours a day, the same arrangement DOJ records show he used for abuse. She found no wrongdoing without ever issuing a search warrant, then cast the deciding vote to keep the Epstein files buried. This cycle she has cashed fifty thousand dollars from donors named in those files. Angie Nixon is scaring Moody and the extremists who back her. She beat an establishment-backed centrist while outspent 17 to 1, she out-raised Moody last quarter, and polls have this race inside two points. Chuck Schumer still won’t commit DSCC support three weeks out. If Chuck Schumer won’t help Angie win Florida, we will. Sign up for our phone bank for Angie Nixon, Tuesdays from 7-9pm ET. Join from anywhere, no experience needed. mobilize.us/angieforflorida/…

Mike Rogers became chair of the House Intelligence Committee on January 3, 2011. Seven months later, his wife Kristi Rogers’s firm Aegis won the security contract for the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, a deal later valued at $1.017 billion. Her own professional bio credited her with a two year pursuit of a five year, $10 billion State Department contract vehicle. Before his second marriage, Rogers’s financial disclosures show he had few assets and little wealth. According to those same disclosures, the couple’s reported investment income grew substantially in the years that followed, right alongside the federal contracts flowing to his wife’s company. Michigan voters don’t get their spouses billion dollar government contracts. Mike Rogers wants a promotion to the United States Senate. Before he gets one, Michigan deserves to know whose interests he was actually serving while he held one of the most powerful national security gavels in Congress. That’s why we endorsed Abdul El-Sayed for U.S. Senate in Michigan. Early voting starts October 24 and runs through November 1. If you’re in Michigan, make a plan now and make sure you get out and vote.

Mike Rogers just told you who he really is. This leaked audio is the truth slipping out when he thought no one was listening. Voters in Michigan deserve a senator who says the same thing behind closed doors that they say on the campaign trail. That’s exactly what Abdul El-Sayed offers, and it’s exactly what Mike Rogers can’t.

Meta took down the No Kings organizing page today - the biggest day of protest this fall. They provided zero explanation. It stayed down for the entire afternoon until most of the protests were done. Outrageous. Put this on the January investigation list.

Every time you think Ken Paxton has hit rock bottom, he finds a new low. The Wall Street Journal got the video: New Year’s Eve, a Dubai balcony, fireworks over the Burj Khalifa, and the chief law enforcement officer of Texas canoodling with his mistress while his wife divorces him back home on biblical grounds. Standing right next to him were two American fugitives on the run from the Justice Department. Anosh Ahmed and Sameer Suhail are accused of embezzling $15 million from a Chicago hospital, and instead of facing a courtroom, they fled the country. Paxton flew out to ring in the new year with them anyway. Ahmed had already bought the friendship. He poured $190,000 into Paxton’s campaign accounts, including $25,000 that landed just days after his indictment. This is the man Donald Trump wants Texas to send to the U.S. Senate. Help us make sure every Texan knows the trust about Ken Paxton it before Election Day. Chip in to the Flippin’ Texas Senate Fund and help us finish the job. turnleft.link/paxton-is-corr…

Last year, a super PAC supporting Texas Senate hopeful Ken Paxton received a $250,000 donation from a man calling himself “Paul McLaren,” a supposed “entrepreneur” living in Plano, Texas. But there is no “Paul McLaren” residing in Plano, and the address listed on the campaign finance record is for a rented mailbox in a strip mall. The donor, it turns out, is a Texas businessman whose father was a well-known construction executive who received a pardon from President Donald Trump years after he pleaded guilty to filing a false tax return. Ben Pogue, who said he and his wife made the $250,000 donation to support Paxton, said the name wasn’t “an effort to conceal the source of the donation.”

Ashley Moody funneled $10M from poor kids’ healthcare into GOP politics. She buried the Epstein files and took $50K from donors in them. Angie Nixon is beating her anyway, inside 2 points, outspent 17-1. Schumer won’t help. We will. Phonebank Tuesdays 7-9pm ET. mobilize.us/angieforflorida/…

Amazon is building a 3,000-acre campus outside of Boling, about 10 miles southeast of Wharton. It says the complex will support at least 300 full-time jobs, with 150 becoming available by mid-2027. Construction will generate thousands of additional jobs. Between 10-13 data center buildings are being built on the complex. Each is equivalent to the size of a Walmart Superstore. Scarcity of water in rural farm communities is a key reason why so many rural Texas voters oppose data centers. Under Abbott’s tenure, Texas has surpassed Virginia with the most construction of data centers in the country, the Houston Business Journal reported. Neighboring county judges have raised the alarm about residents and county governments not having water rights, calling on the legislature to act. Texas water rights and water laws are like “the old west,” Bee County Judge George Morrill has said. County officials have also called on the legislature to grant counties zoning authority to regulate data center growth. Without it, county officials say because of private property rights their hands are tied in preventing data center expansion, The Center Square reported.
