Will @simon_pacheco_ please elaborate for readers what he meant here? 1. What women are using abortion as birth control? 2. What are LGBTQ folks forcing down children’s throats? 3. What demographic tends to commit more crimes and how are they raising their families? #bospoli

Love watching them fight.
𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞’s allegation that the State Police Association of Massachusetts exchanged its endorsement for a contract is categorically false. Accusing our members of corruption without evidence is reckless, and we will not allow their integrity or the contract they earned to be smeared for political gain. Our contract was negotiated by the Association’s Bargaining Team and the Commonwealth through a process that included mediation, fact finding and arbitration. A mutual agreement followed the release of an independent fact finder’s report, which is publicly available. The agreement provides raises totaling 11% over three years, consistent with what other state unions received. Mr. Minogue’s claim of 18% is wrong. Our members earned this contract through their service and sacrifice. They find missing children, investigate homicides, respond to dangerous emergencies and put their lives on the line to protect people they have never met. Their compensation should not become a political weapon for a candidate seeking to attack the governor. We proudly stand by our endorsement of @MassGovernor @maura_healey, alongside the @BostonPatrolmen and @MassCOPUnion. That endorsement reflects her demonstrated commitment to law enforcement and the firsthand experience of our union leadership. Our support is earned through actions and a working relationship built on respect. Mr. Minogue is free to disagree with our endorsement. Boston is burning!
Photos of the lovely block party that Councilor Flynn tried to cancel, and will very likely blow up in the Herald and Mass Daily News. Flynn has already trashed the host as “an influencer of some sort,” a Southie resident that I understand lives around the corner, on Broadway.

This op-ed from Newton City Councilor Pam Wright opposing Question 7 ironically ends up making the case for a Yes vote on Question 7. Restrictive lot-size requirements are helping drive the very teardown trend the author wants to stop. When minimum lot sizes are so large, there are fewer vacant lots where new homes can be built. Builders looking to add housing are often left with one option: buy an existing home, typically an older more affordable home, tear it down, and replace it with a much larger, more expensive house. Legalize Starter Homes would create more opportunities to build modest homes on smaller lots, including by allowing existing properties to be subdivided where feasible. That means more ways to add housing without demolishing an existing home, and more opportunities for first-time buyers, young families, and downsizing seniors to find a home they can afford. figcitynews.com/2026/10/ques…

The lack of coverage is not fear of appearing partisan or impolite, it’s a professional conceit that certain outlets have about their superior judgement. They wouldn’t want to sully their prestigious publication with something rubes find interesting.

John Deaton paid @simon_pacheco_ for sponsored content and now @MassDailyNews will not report statutory rape which the candidate has admitted to in his memoir.

As a 55yo man Deaton described the 15yo who he raped as a “tiny thing” with “perfect curves”.
The Republican candidate for Senate in Massachusetts has openly admitted to being a pedophile btw and no one cares

I suppose there will be people who excuse John Deaton for raping a child because it was a long time ago but consider how he spoke about the child he raped just 3yrs ago as a 55yr old grown man. Disgusting.

Crazy! Apparently John Deaton was raping a child in the 80s and he wrote about it in his memoir.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨
Marinating chicken overnight pushes the flavor in about as deep as a nickel is thick. Leave a chicken breast in soy sauce for 12 hours, cut it in half, and the middle tastes like you never bothered. America's Test Kitchen tested this on chicken breasts soaked in soy sauce and red wine, since both leave a color line you can see. They shaved 3 millimeters off the outside, and that cut went a full 2 millimeters past the deepest spot either marinade had reached. Kenji López-Alt got the same result and put the overnight number at a millimeter or two. It comes down to size. Meat is mostly water packed between tight bundles of protein. Salt breaks into tiny charged bits that can slip through that water. Sugar molecules are huge by comparison, and most of the flavor in herbs and spices dissolves in oil, which the water inside meat pushes away. Then the whole thing sits in a fridge, where the cold slows everything down even more. Even salt is slow. Greg Blonder, a Harvard-trained physicist who tests barbecue science for AmazingRibs, found salt takes almost 24 hours to travel 1 inch into meat. That's really the one thing the overnight wait does for you. It gives the salt time to reach the middle, while everything else in the bowl sits on the surface, which is honestly where flavor counts most anyway, since the outside is what browns and hits your tongue first. Acid is where a long soak backfires. Lemon juice and vinegar only loosen the proteins on the outside, and after enough hours that outer layer goes soft and mushy while the inside stays as tough as when you started. The cuisines that are best at marinating figured this out with a knife. Chinese stir-fry slices meat so thin that the center is only about an eighth of an inch from the surface, so a short soak gets all the way through. Tandoori chicken gets slashed deep before the yogurt goes on, which gives the marinade way more surface to grab onto. Cooks in both places worked out the geometry long before anyone measured how fast flavor moves through meat. So when a recipe springs an overnight step on you 16 minutes in, salt the meat right away, score it, and give the marinade 30 minutes before it hits the pan. That 12-hour wait was buying you about a nickel's worth of flavor.

Wow, a true believer! And here I thought this guy was a grifter. He really thought voter fraud was so easy that he’d get away with it.
An analysis of voter registration records reveals Republican operative Scott Presler had 3 out-of-state voters use his Pennsylvania address to vote in the 2024 election. This is a textbook example of voter fraud.

I think it’s okay to ask questions.
Trans voter to @AOC: Trans people in America feel like they've been abandoned by the Democratic Party, that we are a losing issue, that it's not worth defending us. What do you say to that? AOC:
